    1. Ok. I get it. Your ex "did you wrong." Can you stop mentioning her especially when you're being intimate with someone else? I mean, okay she steered you wrong in the whole intimacy department (more on THAT later), but, uh, your realization of this and what a bit#h she was should NOT BE MENTIONED WHEN YOU'RE KISSING, STROKING, LICKING, ETC. ANOTHER WOMAN!Just my two cents. I'm a little over midway through the book. Of course, it is the second book of two related books but I don't have the first. [...]

    2. "The Reluctant Father" is the story of Meredith and Blake, as well as Sarah.Blake has been living a calm life, until he realizes he's having a daughter with his ex wife as well as his first love, whom he cruelly rejected is in town. How he tries to be a father to a traumatized afraid child, as well as win back the woman he once humiliated forms the story.Though the book has its ups, i.e. Blake trying to adjust to parenthood, him craving Meredith and genuinely apologizing for the past, the passion [...]

    3. This was a nice quick read. This is a second book i have read by DP where the Hero was inexperienced and read books on sex. The hero grew on me.

    4. Too sexist for meUsually I'm a fan of Diana Palmer and I'm used to her sexist domineering men but this one was too much. Yes, it is supposed to be the 1980s but still it was just too much. First off, she establishes that they have a history. He resents her and humiliated her in public and mocked her feelings for him. Then suddenly it's 5 years later and he realizes he is and always was attracted to her. And she, who was supposed to be traumatized by their history, she basically forgives and forg [...]

    5. Second Chance at Love with a Cute Little Girl Thrown InTHE STORY: Blake Donavan made a terrible mistake five years ago. He rejected Meredith Calhoun who genuinely loved him and instead married a woman who was only interested in his money. At his ex-wife's death, he discovers that he has a daughter who he didn't know existed. At the same time, Meredith comes back into his life. Insecure but desperate for the love that Meredith showed him before, Blake wants to try again, but doesn't really know h [...]

    6. 4 Stars! ~~~ Blake Donovan is a man who grew up with little love in his life. His mother died shortly after his birth and no one knew the identity of his father. It was his uncle who took him in, a man who was uncomfortable showing affection. Meredith Calhoun was goddaughter to Blake's uncle, and spent a great deal of time on the Donovan ranch. She'd adored Blake, but he'd rejected her cruelly. Five years later, Blake's surprised to discover he's a father from his short marriage, and the now mot [...]

    7. Classic PalmerI have been waiting for Reluctant Father to be released for Kindle. This is one of my favorite Palmer Books. It begins when a shocked Blake meeting his three year old daughter that he never knew existed. Poor Sarah is literally dumped on his doorstep following years of neglect, insecurity and abuse. Her being locked in closets for hours was heartbreaking.Blake hasn't a clue how to take care of a small girl but luckily for him Meredith a local girl become famous author is visiting J [...]

    8. Rating: 5 stars. She said finally. 'But it undermined my confidence. I couldn't believe any man would want me.''Which worked to my advantage,' he whispered, smiling faintly. 'Because you weren't tempted to experiment with anyone else.' The smile faded. 'You're still a virgin. And your first man, Meredith, is going to be me.'When I read that, it made me shiver. In a good wayGosh I love this book! I haven't read it since 2011, and no idea why because I love this book! It kinda reminds me of Maggie' [...]

    9. For me this book was very frustrating.Guy likes girl however thinking that she is a total fake, he marries her slutty relative instead who was only after his money! Oh shocker here. Of course hero must treat heroine like crap to punish her for the fact that his marriage was shit and that he rejected her (that was all her fault). She started with some back bone but then it went south fast because she was just a slut in a virgin's body when it comes to the hero.Ahhhh! Well he has a kid and that co [...]

    10. Enjoyed itI really liked how most of the book was from the hero's POV. It worked well because we get to know why he had been so cruel to the heroine in the past, and how much he regretted it. The thing that spoiled the book for me was the misunderstandings at the end - it seemed like a little thing blown way out of proportion. Then all of a sudden they're over it. No proper discussion or anything, they're just happy and in love all of a sudden. Up until then, I thought it was a great book - a li [...]

    11. EntertainingDiana has some of the most interesting heroes. Only thing I have objection to is many of her men admit to being either wrong or mean. I must live in a different world. men I have met could not or would not ever admit to any faultsbut it is fun reading about men who can admit imperfections. Makes for an entertaining story. She has a wonderfully light touch and a great feel for the humanity and honesty in her stories. Good job.

    12. This was a quick easy read but it reads from 1989 and there were parts that just seemed dated. Blake Donovan has never know love, so when his 4 year old daughter (he didn't know he had) shows up out of the blue and as lost and lonely as he is, they bumble along finding their way. Meredith Calhoun has loved Blake Donovan for as long as she can remember but he ripped her heart out once, she'll never give him another chance Sarah Jane his daughter is another story. 3 stars

    13. RE-READ. There, in her gray eyes, was the beginning and end of his whole world. It was quite good. I loved the fact that both the hero and the heroine's first taste of passion was with each other even though it wasn't all the way. I also loved that the hero wasn't a playboy. And Sarah was adorable. That little girl stole my heart.

Me gusto mucho.

    15. Another Diana Palmer that I liked. Kind of surprising because it's a bit rare that Diana Palmer put a child into her stories, but this one—and Maggie's Dad that I've read previously, is wonderful. I'm in love all over again. I can't wait to finish my collection of Diana Palmer!

    16. Romance at its finest. Diana Palmer's early books were her best. The sexy scenes sizzled. The characters and their motives were flawed but admirable. Love the happy endings!
