    1. Basically a concentrated version of the 5 rules written in Mastering Leptin: The Leptin Diet, Solving Obesity and Preventing Disease. I think this book would have greatly benefited from the suggested foods list found in the other book. I read this book first and was disappointed to not find information about the foods since it discuss them in one of the rules.

    2. Very practical look at how the body uses food, makes and stores energy. I love the scientific approach and knowing what is happening when I eat. I have unintentionally put myself in "starvation mode" through eating low calorie diets and exercising intensely. No matter how hard I work or little I eat, I cannot get the pounds to budge. This book told me exactly what is causing this problem and how to reset my metabolism - with only 5 simple rules.

    3. Great information - Should be required reading for all. A bit technical if you have no biological or medical training but the author explains things well if you give him the chance. I started following his suggestions and have noticed a difference in my energy and waist line after about a week and a half.

    4. A great book for the non-medically trained or interested. It gives excellent descriptions for the 5 steps and the reasons for them. If you are looking to revitalize your metabolism and ward off (or work on reversing) metabolic disorders (diabetes, fibromialga, CFS, heart diesase etc) these are must take steps in an easy to follow format.

    5. I thought enough of the information in this book to purchase the book "Mastering Leptin: Your Guide to Permanent Weight Loss and Optimal Health." I've lost 5 pounds in the first week, so I'm encouraged. I look forward to continued research, gaining knownledge and loosing weight!

    7. Too much science not enough instructions too . Not layman ugh. Want real direction would not recommend.Too much science. Not instructional. Too vague. Didn't feel motivated. No clear plan. Would not recommend not a good read

    8. Very interesting. I am currently working with the Leptin theory through MAX WLX and have been quite successful. I will be interested to see how combining the two pools of thought will help me.
