    1. I really enjoyed these two Christmas novellas set in the 1800's. A Prairie Family Christmas by Anna Schmidt - An injured stranger beautifully brings trust and faith back to a family facing the loss of a homestead. This story highlights how God can bring two hurting people together and their experiences can help each other heal. A Cowboy's Christmas by Linda Ford - It is hard when a family goes through a tragic loss of three members at once, and can be especially hard on those who step up and tak [...]

    2. A Prairie Family Christmas is about a lady who is on her way to South Dakota with her children when they come across a man who has been discharged from the army, Nathan Cook. Julianne Cooper helps him back to health and her life gets flipped around.A Cowboy's Christmas is about a young woman, Winnie Lockwood, who is found by Derek Adams in his barn. With the help of his uncle, Mac, Derek tells Winnie that she will be a temporary housekeeper the two men and Kathy, Derek's sister. The book tells o [...]

    3. This book contained two short novellas. They were:A Prairie Family Christmas by Anna Schmidt: A thriving homestead in South Dakota Territory is Julianne Cooper's dearest wish. Can the war-weary chaplain she rescues from a snowstorm help her reach it? Nathan Cook insists he's only passing through, but the lovely widow and her children have him dreaming of a lifetime of Christmases together.A Cowboy's Christmas by Linda Ford: Just until Christmas—that's how long rancher Derek Adams needs a nanny [...]

    4. Prairie Family Christmas is a wonderful Christmas Romance. Nathan Cook is found almost frozen to death in the Dakota Territories by Julianne Cooper and her family and takes him home to try and save him. She works so hard to keep him from dying even though she failed to save her husband lying in the same bed suffering from the same problem. She dries his papers pot and finds he was a chaplain in the Confederate Army and he keeps a journal, which she would love to read. Their journey toward Christ [...]

    5. Another two stories in one book. The first story is about a young widow and her son who rescue a man from a snowstorm. The young woman's faith has been lost when a similar incident took the life of her husband. To compound the matter the rescued man is a Confederate army chaplin. Where was the man traveling and why. What will happen to the woman and her son with their land. There's more but it's all waiting to be read. The second story involves a man who needs a nanny for his daughter and what h [...]

    6. Two Christmas novellas in one volume.A Prairie Family Christmas was a nicely done story of a woman with two children trying to keep their homestead in the Dakotas going after her husband dies. It's a simple tale, with friendly neighbors and not-too-sweet little kids. There's no real bad guy or big conflict here, just two adults who have different goals and a relationship that develops slowly. It wasn't "Oh, I can't put this down", but when I had time to read I enjoyed spending some time in the w [...]

    7. I really enjoyed this story by Anna Schmidt. A Godly man puts aside his own ambitions to become a pastor and marry a widow to love and protect her, as well as, take care of her children. He takes the time to grow to love her after she assists in helping him get well after injury. Her children adore him after the loss of their father. A nice read. The second story in the book by Linda Ford, starts with a cowboy who does everything in his might to keep from liking a nanny that appears on their prop [...]

    8. The first was a wonderful story about finding peace and love and moving on after losing family, set post Civil War. I loved the characters and the growth, and appreciated that, unlike many in this series, it was the man who remained connected to the Church. Highly recommended. The second was set on a similar plot, moving past fear after losing family, but the magic wasn't quite there for me. I loved Winnie and Derek and enjoyed their journey, but Kathy is the sticking point. Even traumatized, she [...]

    9. Both good stories. I enjoyed the first more. The second seemed a bit rushed, but both are nice, romantic little stories set near Christmas. And of course everyone lives happily ever after, which I like. :-)Re-read again near Christmas 2014 and sure enough - my original review is accurate. :o)

    10. I liked the first story, "A Prairie Family Christmas", but the second story, "A Cowboy's Christmas", seemed rather rushed.

    11. This was an enjoyable, cozy Christmas read. Both novellas were good, but I really got caught up in "A Prairie Family Christmas" by Anna Schmidt.
