    1. I won this 2nd novel "Merger" through .I was totally immersed in this book from page 1, as the novel took off from her first series novel "Rising Shadows". In Merger, there was a lot going on to keep you intrigued in the plot. There are a lot of characters in the story, but they are all woven together so thoughtfully that it is easy to keep up with them.Ashlyn and Kai went through a lot with their relationship in Merger. They both have so much going on that it was hard for them to find time for e [...]

    2. Bottom Line – the same things you loved about Jacqueline Wheeler's ability to tell a wonderful story are still there, she's got a way to grab your attention, commanding your mind in a way that allows the rest of the world to quietly fall away, into nothing more than background noise. Merger while not my favorite book so far, gives the reader what they needed to make the rest of the story flow. I can only hope that we find out what is up with Kai, and that the witty banter that has become one o [...]

    3. I really liked the second book in the series and am glad to hear there are three more on the way. I like the idea that ordinary people deelop special skills and talents on an "as needed" basis in an effort to keep the balance of good and evil in tact. And while probably not everyone's cup of tea, I like that the protagonist in the story is still framed as greed or social injustice, rather than your typical monster or villian.

    4. I loved Merger even more than Rising Shadow. Which coming from me is really odd since I rarely love the sequels as much. With Merger we got to know a bit more about some of the characters. One of the characters being Jesse, who I absolutely loved. With being a Soterian not only do they get special powers to fight evil, but there's also the downside of your inner demons being more exposed. Ashlyn's inner struggles are her insecurities and fear of Kai leaving her. Having to stop a car manufacturing [...]

    5. Merger is an enjoyable second book in the series. The Soterians are great to read about and it is such a unique concept how their powers are distributed and how they work.Ashlyn is once again a great main character with a voice that is fun to read, and it is ever so easy to get caught up in her world. She is easy to relate to because she is not perfect, but she is working through her problems. She deals with jealousy and assuming the worst in a situation and I can totally understand how that fee [...]
