    1. After reading The Bronze Horseman, I needed something light and easy. Wishful Thinking is a quick and easy chick lit read. The story was entertaining and the characters were likeable. I would recommend this book as a perfect light travel read.

    2. All the 3 characters were extremists!Dara is a “lost” woman, idealistic and ungrateful of what she has – till it is gone. Am glad that she didn’t choose her “ideal” man and that her hubby didn’t die.Louise is young, trying to fit in and is trying to be someone she is not.Rosie is pathetic, allowing her kids to step all over her – the ending was good. Overheard her kids talk abt her as if she were already dead! That made her realise what sort of kids she has.

    3. Very good book, defiantly one to recommend! Keeps you guessing all the way through, very good ending and easy to read. I think I also liked it because I could relate to a lot of it so if you don't have a perfect life read it. This book will defiantly make you appreciate your life and look at it differently xxx

    4. I loved this book. Easy to read. There were so many surprises in store it ended up being a very addictive book that left me gasping out loud. I was quite sad to finish it to be honest.

    5. This was one of those books that I couldn't put down - it had me totally absorbed but at the same time made me seethe & my blood boil!First example, Rosie's childrene way Rosie's daughter treats her mother - give me strength! Open your eyes woman you're been taken for a right mug!! Not that her son appears to be any betterNext, Louise & her "friends"ey're not true friends if you have to buy their friendship now are they? But thankfully it's only a story (though I do know of someone whose [...]

    6. Few things are as they seem when it comes to affairs of the heart. A good read. Looking forward to the next book!

    7. I only finished reading this book as I was travelling and it was the only book I had on me, I did not enjoy it much at all.

    8. This book is rather a heavy read from my normal chick lit book that I m used to. It tells the story of three different womens for only has one similarity; they used to take the train from the Dublin city and the start of the story is about the accident that occurs where supposedly all these three characters were in the train and from there on, a flashback of what happened five months before the incident.Rosie, who has two grown up childrens find it impossible to understand them especially when a [...]

    10. Honestly, I just found this story depressing. While I really enjoyed some of the other Lakeview Series books, I couldn’t get into this one. Every single character was frustrating to me. Unlike Sophie Kinsella, I wasn’t quite able to suspend my disbelief in Louise’s shopping sprees, Dara is a selfish brat who can’t make up her mind and Rosie is very naïve for being a grown women.Perhaps I’m being too harsh, but I like having at least one character who is self-sufficient and takes respo [...]

    11. It has a very provocative plot. An intermingling of three lives, overlapping, running across each other or with each other. It is simple and yet has a certain shift in the moods in the characters ultimately shifting the mood of the reader 10 times more. On this journey , the reader often gets too attached to the characters, since Melissa Hill (the author) has actually written a movie, whcih plays on in your head. I mean, every book, does that, sure! But she has given every minute detail, and tha [...]

    12. Louise wishes she could be slim, pretty, and popular. So she can’t believe it when it seems her wish is coming true. If only it didn't all cost so much . . .Dara wishes she could go back in time, and change everything. But she's married now, and nothing can change that. Can it?Rosie wishes she knew how to make her children happy. Even though they're both grown up with their own lives, they seem to need her more than ever.Three very different women, about to make a journey that will change thei [...]

    13. While I am not a reader of chick lit, I thought the description on the back of this novel sounded interesting while browsing for books at my local library. I enjoyed "Wishful Thinking" - it was fast paced and well written but I found the characters (especially one in particular, Louise) to be VERY irritating, whinny and frustrating. While the ending is satisfying, I wasn't entirely happy with it.

    14. 4.5 stars. This book was surprisingly beautiful. It took me by surprise in lots of pages. It had many twists and turns that I kept guessing wrongly through the entire book.At some points I disliked the characters and I was super annoyed with them that I want to slap them across the face. But eventually with all what happened in the book I grew fond of them with their stupid flaws. The beginning was kind of boring, the middle is eventful, the end is so satisfying.

    15. I started to read this book it was a bit slow at the beginning but as it went along you got more and more interested in the people's stories who where traveling on the train.Three women three talesLouise. Dara and Rosieyes in the end these women really touched your heartgood readhave a hankie ready at the end.

    16. A light novel about three women, whose lives are apparently spiralling towards disaster in different ways. Fast-paced, despite rather too much introspection; I found myself irritated by all three of them, for behaving so stupidly at times! More thought-provoking than average 'chick-lit', and I was pleased at the lack of description of either shopping trips or bedroom scenes.

    17. Loved this book. Fresh & easy read. Liked the way the three stories of ordinary women, which was easy to relate to, were written and made extraordinary. Dara, realizing that Mark may not be the dream man but he was the right man. Rose, taking control of her life after the departure of the love of her life. And Louise for living life to the fullest despite all worries & uncertainties.

    18. Poorly written novel that is predictable from the beginning. The details about mundane things like how many creme eggs one of the characters 'scoffed in one sitting' are neither humorous nor enjoyable. The ending is limp and corny. Wouldn't recommend!

    19. This book follows the lives of three women who are all connected by the same train journey, a journey that is made every morning. It has likeable characters another great book by this Author I would definitely recommend.

    20. Pretty consistent with her other books in this series. It seems like every book has a single mother in it As usual there was a twist too.I found the characters in this one really annoying for some reason. I wanted to shake sense into all of them.

    21. This book was fairly clever and enjoyable, as with most of Melissa Hill's books. I enjoy the British setting and the way she writes her characters realistically. This one gets a knock down from a four-star review because of the whole part with Rosie's dog.

    22. I really enjoy Melissa Hill and this book did not disappoint me.It was a nice love story and also a mother standing up for herself.

    23. I really enjoyed the novel! I liked that there are three separate women whose lives are explored in different ways. All have struggles to deal with during the book. I give it thumbs up!

    24. It was okay Started to go off it in the middle but it got a little better at the end. I just don't really like books with multiple stories, but I did manage to get into it.

    25. 4.5 bintangDah lama tak baca novel yang bermain dengan emosi aku sampai sebegini rupa. Cerita tentang orang biasa, masalah yang biasa tapi dengan emosi yang luar biasa.

    26. Was a pretty easy read. Not a bad book in all but i wasnt a fan of the characters, they really frustrated me. Decent story line but it wasnt anything special.
