    1. A good start to the new series from Summer Donnelly. I have read a lot of shifter stories, and this is the first one where someone chose a mastiff as the animal. Lacey’s best friend sent Lacey on vacation to pick up the pieces of the life and finally mold her life the way she wanted it. Little did she know this vacation would change her life for good.Tarquinn “Quinn” Maxwell has been living in solitude since he left the military, where he was a part of a program that changed the genic make [...]

    2. It was a little choppy but otherwise an enjoyable read. I liked how Quinn was surprised by Lacey and how she stepped out of her usual self to deal with Quinn. Her nicknames for him were hysterical. In this world, shifters were created by the US military. All but one of the shifters in Quinn's mountain town were ex-military and had come to the town to recover from war. The one who wasn't ex-military was being mentored by Quinn (former gunnery sergeant in unknown branch of military). Lacey was sent [...]

    3. First read by this author. After loosing her job as a vetinary technician, Lexus friend sets her up with a week long vacation in the mountain. Less than thrilled at the thought of a week in the snow Lacey decides to make the most of it. Especially when she meets the owner growly gruff Quinn. Short and oh so sweet. A fantastic start to a great series. Awwww this book was great. I loved the idea of shifter soldiers retiring to the mountains once discharged from service, learning how to get back to [...]

    4. This is my first book by this author, but it won't be my last :) "Her Lonely Mastiff" is a short and entertaining PNR must read with a unique plot & some twists from the usual shifter books I normally choose to read. I loved the hero, his homestead & the setting. With great descriptions & some interesting characters, I also enjoyed the page-turning suspense, but make sure to wear gloves for some smoking hot romance :) Even tho I volunteered to read this without any outside influence, [...]

    5. If this is Summer's first shifter book, sign me up for all of them. This was a quick read, but had action, hot sex, and shifters. What more could you want. Quinn lived on a mountain and helped other shifters coming back from military service. The goverment had created these shifters and pretty much just threw them away. Lacey was on a week's vacation and was not supposed to be on this mountain. Sparks flew immediately and the story really flew from there. I received this book for an honest revie [...]

    6. This is the first mastiff shifter I’ve read and it was a great read. I really enjoyed this fast, steamy read about Quinn aka McSeximus Prime and Lacey aka Trouble. Lacey goes to Maxwell Mountain Resort to enjoy a vacation after losing her job. The owner feels a connection with her and decides she needs to leave ASAP. NO! I loved Lacey’s sass. How does Lacey learn Quinn is a shifter and what is her reaction? No spoilers, so grab your copy and fall in love with Quinn. I really hope that Summer [...]

    7. Quinn and Lacey were both likeable and great characters. This book had lots of chemistry between the two and a Mastiff for a shifter really worked well. I loved the whole idea of a mountain of shifters who were ex military living on a mountain. Lots of chemistry and some action with great secondary character who I hope to read about in the future. Loved the sense of humor in the end. Quick and fun read and I look forward to more. I am voluntarily giving a review of an arc I received.

    8. MastiffI like the series back story. The writing is good, well paced. The story moves along well. The characters are interesting and likable. Over all I enjoyed it.I would have liked just a bit more interaction. It occurs over a matter of days. I want to read the why's and how's of them falling for each other.

    9. Her lonely mastiffIt was a nice change to read something else besides the usual shifters loved the storyline and characters so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone

    10. What a great start to a series. Tough ex military shifter meets his match with a no nonsense human female who rocks his world.I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is book 1 from the new author series A Shifter Special Forces Romance.

    11. I really enjoyed this book. It's a fun spin on the shifter origin and the characters are relatable and first. I cant wait to see what's next!

    12. Great shifter romance. Loved the story behind shifters in this book. Cannot wait to read more from this author.
