  • For three generations, an uneasy truce has existed between the shapeshifter packs of Wolfhaven and Silver Ridge But Equinox is fast approaching and all is about to change Connell, grandson of Wolfhaven s chief, is hungry for adventure and eager to explore the world beyond the boundaries of where he grew up Is this a plan set for failure Only Lupa, Goddess of Wolves,For three generations, an uneasy truce has existed between the shapeshifter packs of Wolfhaven and Silver Ridge But Equinox is fast approaching and all is about to change Connell, grandson of Wolfhaven s chief, is hungry for adventure and eager to explore the world beyond the boundaries of where he grew up Is this a plan set for failure Only Lupa, Goddess of Wolves, can know for it is she who bends destiny to her will Thayer, heir apparent and Connell s older brother, has found love with Lena Mistress of the Moon and daughter of Silver Ridge s alpha Yet, the course of true love never runs smooth Lena is matched to another A wolf of her father s choosing Fierce and strong, Kellan is Arden s second and will make the perfect mate If only Lena wished it Silver Ridge, a world of zealotry and submission, is no place for a freethinking female Especially not one, whose lover whispers of a world beyond her father s reach Will Connell s dreams of freedom and adventure be thwarted, as Thayer and Kellan challenge for the right to claim Lena as their own Or will Lena resolve to put the traditions of her pack and the demands of her father over those of her own heart What people are saying about Wolfhaven I wasn t sure if I was going to enjoy this book or not Wolves that change into humans and vice versa was, in my humble opinion, a little too far fetched, but how wrong was I Within the first few pages I was completely sold The author has a beautiful way with words, not overly descriptive, but enough to enable you to experience life in this strange wolf world I found myself laughing and crying along with the characters and at one point I literally jumped upright in bed in shock What a well rounded debut novel Well done Jay Shaw I will definitely be looking out for books from you in the future A very enjoyable story, a great page turner Jay Shaw has created an alternate world filled with believable characters that touch your heart and take you with them on an incredible journey that delivers surprise after surprise Highly recommended read

    1. By Jaw ShawFor three generations an uneasy truce has existed between the shapshifter packs of Wolfhaven and Silver Ridge. But Equinox is fast approaching and everything is about to change.Connell, grandson of Wolfhaven's chief wants nothing more then adventure; and to explore the world beyond the boundaries of where he has grown up. Is this a plan set for failure? Only Lupa, Godess of wolves, can know; for it is she who bends destiny to her will.Thayer, heir apparent who is also Connell's older [...]

    2. Wow! What in the world did I just read?! Totally did not see that coming! First, let me just say I don't usually read paranormal romancet my thing. However, I was offered this as an arc for an honest review. So I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. Can't say I have changed my mind about this genre. BUT, this book was well written, and by the end of the book I had to pick my jaw up off the floor! Mind Blown!

    3. Wolfhaven by Jay Shaw is a paranormal shifter romance story, that is the first book in the Duality Series.I was converted to this genre a little while ago, so when I seen that Wolfhaven was a shifter book I just has to read it and I wasn't disappointed at all - I was hooked after the first chapter.Wolfhaven and Silver Ridge, two wolf shifter packs separated by a feud. Wolfhaven, is a pack that encourages their human side to be seen and allows all within the pack to choose their own mate. While [...]

    4. "This night would be the longest she'd ever endured. And now he was back, she didn't know how she had survived so long without him in her life."Going in to this read, I wasn't sure what to expect. Was it going to be a typical shifter book? Humans hiding their secret otherworldly identities? A human falling in love with a shifter? Or was this going to be different? Let me tell you, it was different!! I really enjoyed it! It was a love story, a story of rivalry, a battle of both body and heart, a [...]

    5. I've read quite a bit by Ms. Shaw, and high hopes for this story. Alas, this is not one of my favorites. The main character, from whose pov the story is told, his story is an afterthought at the very end of the book. It's mainly about his brother and mate, and arising conflict. The storyline seems very rushed, and has minimal character development. True to normal form from Jay Shaw, it does have vivid scenery and descriptors, and makes you feel like you are there with the characters in the thick [...]

    6. What a story! Not my usual read but I'm so happy I chose this book. From the first chapter I knew I was going to be swept along by Jay's beautiful writing style and imagery. The frozen other-land and man/wolf/man, woman/wolf/woman merged without hesitation. To read a genre completely unknown to me and yet become immersed in their world immediately is surreal. Well done, Jay, for your debut!

    7. This is the first book I've read by this author. Not knowing what to expect, I thought it would be werewolves by numbers, but I was shocked to discover Ms. Shaw had created a world entirely her own.Likeable characters with a twist I wasn't expecting, the book was descriptive and well written.I await Part Two with baited breath.

    8. This author has a very unique take on werewolves. The book was refreshing and very well written. She has an excellent way of describing her scenes very vividly. Nicely done!

    9. What a great read!! It also has quite a few surprises that you wouldn’t expect!! I have read a lot of different paranormal romance novels by several different authors, specifically ones about shape-shifters, but none of them can compare to Wolfhaven. Wolfhaven will pull you in from the very beginning and keep you pulled in throughout. Wolfhaven was the first book that I have read from Jay Shaw, and now Jay has most definitely become one of my new favorite paranormal authors!!I definitely recom [...]

    10. Reviewed for Readers FavoriteIn an isolated area of the country, far away from society in general live two groups, that long ago used to be one. Wolfhaven and Silver Ridge, over in Silver Ridge they detest their human side and avoid shifting into it, staying in wolf form at all times, living in caves and living a completely rigidly controlled life by a powerful alpha. In Wolfhaven, they embrace the human side as much as the wolf side, understanding that both sides are equally important. They hav [...]

    11. This was the first time I have read a book by Jay Shaw, and one thing is for sure, it will not be the last. The story was written so beautifully, I wanted to cry. I felt like I crawled into the skin of Lena or Connell when it was their part of the story because each character was fleshed out so perfectly. I will anxiously wait for book two to be released. I would highly recommend this book to my family and friends.

    12. An amazing story, flowed beautifully, characters were brilliant. This book was amazing once I started it I couldn't put it down, was heartbroken and amazed all at the same time. The paths that it takes you on is a journey that I'm glad I took.

    13. I could not express just how much I adore this book. The story is gripping, passionate, compelling and above all wonderfully woven. There are no secondary characters in this story, they all have their own loves and losses and big personalities! The main characters broke my heart, and then stitched it back together again. If you want something that will make you laugh, cry and have to open a window for fear of heat stroke, this is the story for you!

    14. This is a great book. Totally engaging from the get-go, the characters draw you into the story and I just couldn't put it down. I was so happy to see "Book 1" on the cover! Can't wait for more x

    15. A shifter romance with a twist, this story was original, unexpected and easy to read. The characters were likeable and engaging, Connell wasn’t a favourite of mine but I genuinely cared about what would become of Lena and Thayer, a couple for whose love went against what both their packs believed was right.Well written with a good pace, this story kept me interested until the slightly unexpected end.

    16. I really enjoyed reading Wolfhaven by Jay Shaw. I found it a complex story with compelling characters. I found the lead character Connell inspiring and I felt like I was seeing his world through his eyes and all the trials and tribulations that a family goes through in life and love. This book made me laugh, love and feel sorrow and then happiness again. I highly recommend everyone to read it you wont be disappointed.
