    1. Tres muy raspado, igual es que tenía muchas expectativas pero me ha parecido muy aburrido y la verdad, no he conseguido conectar con los personajes.

    2. Set in Toronto, Tea or Consequences gives readers a murder / mystery with plenty of suspects and enough twists and turns to keep you wondering until the final reveal. At a new product launch party, company founder Gabrielle Gautier ("a sophisticated, glamorous woman in her midfifties who’d built a thriving company while raising two children as a divorced single mother") is found dead. Is it food poisoning? An allergic reaction? Or is it murder? Are Gabrielle's obnoxious entitled children Franc [...]

    3. Tea for two and two for tea for you and you for me'Tea or Consequences' is a fun mystery with a side of romance and I really enjoyed this one. Set in the city of Torontoyou guessed it!!! CANADA!!!! Ok, that's my squee, I'll try and keep my inner geek under control from here.Riley works for a temp agency as an executive assistant. He loves the challenge of what he does and the newness of working for someone different all the time and he's really good at what he does. So good that his latest posit [...]

    4. I’m not sure if it’s the narrator himself, or if the author’s writing is not as polished in this story as in others I’ve read from her in the past, but I found this murder mystery to be quite elementary and often boring. Clues were very simple, and unless the narrator was emphasizing them as he read, they were quite evident to listeners. The style of narration was somewhat bland and several words were strikingly mispronounced, taking me right out of the story. So obviously, the narration [...]

    5. A Joyfully Jay review. 4.25 starsRiley Parker is a temp to Gabrielle Gautier, owner of her own cosmetics company. He’s been working there for several weeks and he’s satisfied, but things get hectic when Gabrielle, a known tea junkie, dies at the launch party for their newest product. There was discord with Gabrielle and her grown children—both of whom have positions of power within the company—which only heightens when they discover Gabrielle has a secret newly-wed husband, Cody, a man ma [...]

    6. 3.5 starsI am not sold on the romance part. Probably because everything is written from Riley's perspective, and I can't help to think it's a little bit one sided with Riley's old-crush over Tad back in high school. I don't really know how Tad feels -- it is muddled with whether Tad really stays contact with Riley because he likes Riley or because Riley is a wild card to find more clues inside the company.BUT, I really enjoyed the mystery part!! It's been a while since I read a book with someone [...]

    7. I liked the mystery side of this book, this alone made me stuck on my seat to read it. As for Riley and Tad's relationship, well, I was kinda wanted to shake Tad a whole time to put sense into him! But I think after he explained it to Riley, I understood his 'reason', but still.Tad and Riley's relationship is a slow burn, not that I'm complain, but this kinda a bit of clean romance. I can't find a 'real' steam on page, there's sex of course, and kisses, lots of kisses. Not the kind of romance I e [...]

    8. Riley Parker is an administrative assistant that works specifically for senior executives. He works for a temp agency because he gets bored easily and likes to move around a lot. He had just been working at Gautier Cosmetics for 3 weeks when he finds his boss dead. The detective that is on the case is none other than Riley’s high school crush Tadeo Martin, or Tad now. Riley is stunned stupid in the first interview, but who wouldn’t be after finding a dead body, when he first sees Tad. He play [...]

    9. More like 4.5 starsFor a book that was on my 'maybe' shelf for the longest time and then was bought with a discount - this was very entertaining. I'm glad I gave it a try:)

    10. REVIEW OF AUDIOBOOK; DECEMBER 23, 2017Narrator: Darcy StarkAfter a promising start, ToC fell flat for me and while I can easily give the romance 4 stars, the murder mystery was meh all the way. My feelings about the book is the opposite of Ami (her review) - she wasn't sold on the romance and loved the murder mystery. I, on the other hand, found Tad's attraction to Riley pretty clear from the get-go and all those "dates" that Riley wasn't sure were dates or part of the investigation, were so gla [...]

    11. Tea or Consequences by K.C. Burn4 starsM/M RomanceTriggers: MurderI was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads. This was a fast paced, who did it story. At first, I was kind of skeptical because it seemed that it was more about the spoiled kids of the great Gabrielle. Riley had a major crush on the police detective who is investigating his boss' death, Tad. Riley has a fairly good life and he likes what he does. Working for a temp agency allows his scenery to change. It seems that t [...]

    12. Enjoyable, a bit predictable, but with enough twists and turns for a few second guesses, I did get the right person from the start though. The romance was a bit meh, I had trouble believing in it to be honest.

    13. This is an exciting mystery full of intrigue and suspense. The romance between Tad and Riley is fun and thrilling and very detailed. Definitely a good read!

    14. My first M/M book. Well written. I had to get used to the descriptive male/male scenes. Really liked the story. The intrigue of a murder and finding out "who dun it" was wonderful. I love how KC Burn writes - drawing you into the emotions of the moment. Feeling what Riley was going through. Again, very well written.

    15. Full review at: optimumm/2017/09/22/reviRiley Parker works as a temp for Gabrielle Gautier, owner of Gautier Cosmetics. Being a temp suits Riley just fine, he gets to move on to somewhere new whenever his contract finishes, so he never gets bored or frustrated with being in the same place or working with the same people, and it also pays well. But deep-down Riley is a geek at heart, he’s always been this way since high school, and loves nothing more than joining his friends for gaming days/nig [...]

    16. 4 Super Fun and Sleuthy StarsI didn’t really know what to think about this book from just the blurb, but I was… intrigued. We meet Riley while he’s working as a high-powered executive assistant temp at a cosmetics company. From the beginning, the drama between the various characters at the company was apparent. And suddenly… his boss’s death changes everything. Because who walks in, other than his high school crush, Tad. And from there, things really heat up!First, I really, really lik [...]

    17. Riley is happy working as a temporary executive assistant. He goes in, gets the job done, avoids all the office politics, and leaves while everyone’s still smiling. I actually envied him this and wished I thought of it when I was working in the corporate world. Anyway, he takes a position in a major cosmetics firm and enjoys working for the owner, a ruthless businesswoman who doesn’t want anyone to see her soft side. When she’s murdered on the night of a big launch, there’s a whole room [...]

    19. *Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie by Dreamspinner Press for my reading pleasure in hopes of an unbiased opinion, a review was not a requirement.*Riley works as an Executive Assistant through a temporary service. He's working for the head of a family cosmetics' company. During a launch party, Riley finds his boss dead at her desk, and Riley's life becomes crazy. The detective sent to interview him is someone he went to school with, Tad, and who Riley had a crush on. Through the investigation, R [...]

    20. When I read the synopsis for this I was so on board. It sounded majorly intriguing. Murder, mystery, and mayhem. What’s not to love? This is told entirely in Riley’s POV. That was interesting. He’s a temp working as an executive assistant to Gabriella Gautier, boss lady extraordinaire. It’s no secret that she’s the murder victim in this. We read that in the blurb. I didn’t realize we’d actually get some page time with her. That was awesome.I paid attention to everything she said and [...]

    21. Murder mystery – 5 stars; Riley – 5 stars; Romance – 1 star; Tad – 1 starThis was one of the best murder mysteries that I’ve read in a romance novel this summer. The character of Riley was just fantastic. I loved his sleuthing, his personality, his friends, etc. He was just a great character all around. What I did not like about this book was the romance. The set up was there but it just felt like it was full of convoluted obstacles and don’t even get me started with the quick and ea [...]

    22. Ireallyenjoyed this!I always love a good murder and romance and this one had just the right amount of both! When Riley finds his boss dead, he soon finds out that the death is suspicious and the biggest suspects are the very people he continues to work for. Wanting to help the detective (and his high school crush) Tad, Riley begins snooping around.Riley's snooping was very believable, which is not something always pulled off in this kind of mystery book. Riley uses his job as well as a fair amou [...]

    23. Audio Review I love this cover. I can see this as Riley. Tea or Consequences is a great who-dun-it mystery with many characters to choose from. Riley is a temp assistant to a busy corporate woman. She has two children a son and daughter both working in the company, There is a receptionist that becomes his friend and a secret younger husband. The investigating officer happens to turn out to be Riley's first crush, Tad. Riley helps to find the real killer and clear his name putting himself in dange [...]

    24. Great chemistry, but I figured out the mystery about halfway through. I mean they make cosmetics and have a lab on site. I don't currently see it joining my frequent re-read list like Cop Out but time will tell.

    25. Story: 8First MC: 9Second MC: 8Secondary characters: 7Mystery: 8Sexual tension: 6Humor: 4Hotness: 7Product placement: 6Ridiculousness: 3Annoying: 2Suspence: 9Audio: 8 (7h 24min)To re-read: 8That was fun, in the line of the Foxe series.

    26. Tea and Consequences is a solidly written mystery romance between Riley, executive office assistant and Tadeo, a homicide detective. Their romance was a bit cold for my liking, nonetheless fine enough.

    27. Riley was better in the second part of the book. I didn’t feel the love or romance and did not even understand how Riley and Tad fell in love.Mystery was ok. But with lots of coincidences things get resolved.
