    1. This should be required reading for anyone who wants to be in a relationship of any kind with another person.

    2. Dating is awkward. It’s even more awkward when almost everyone you connect with is poly. I finally asked someone in a poly relationship why non monogamy and they had no answer for me but suggested I read The Ethical Slut. I did. I still see it as a cop out or green light to cheat without consequences BUT I did find the sections on jealousy to be quite helpful and also probably why I couldn’t see myself in a poly marriage. Overall insightful and made me have a better understanding of the worl [...]

    3. 3 – Our Beliefsp.28 – People who operate from starvation economies can become very possessive about the people, things, and ideas that matter to them. They see the whole world in that limited light, so that anything they get comes from a small pool of “not-enough” and must thus be take from something else – and similarly, anything anyone else gets must be subtracted from them. It is important to distinguish between starvation economies and real-world limits. Time, for example, is a rea [...]

    4. This is a good book for anyone, even if you are not polyamorous. You don't even need to be considering becoming polyamorous for the context of this book to relate or provide value to you in some way. The book should really be called something like, "A Practical Guide for Human Relationships and Sexuality" because there is a lot of great healthy relationship content here, whether you're monogamous or non-monogamous.Yes, it does talk about polyamorous relationships and the exploration of sexuality [...]

    5. Useful reading for anyone questioning or looking to look outside of monogamy as a relationship model, but the book's success is its useful information for all on better communication in relationships. Not just about sex, understanding and verbalising what you want and need, in or out of a relationship is crucial for its health and harmony, and this book addresses that foremost, with very interesting chapters on embracing conflict, dealing with jealousy, and generally how to love and treat each o [...]

    6. Honestly, even if you aren't interested in Open Relationships or Poly, this book is still well worth a read. Amazing insights into owning your emotions, communication techniques, and jealousy.

    7. Basic advice for anyone wanting to be in a poly relationship but it can also be applied to most other relationships also!

    8. Not too long of a book and gets right to the point. It give your history and talks about misconceptions that live in minds of others. Its beyond the limits of traditional.

    9. It's a great introductory book, and would highly recommend it if you're new to this. Otherwise, it's pretty basic and doesn't go that deep.

    10. 3 1/2 stars. I learned a lot! Very interesting and eye opening read, lots of things I can take with me to future endeavours.
