    1. Garrett Kilcannon turned his love of dogs into a social media phenomenon. However, he then sold his internet based company for a tidy sum, agreeing to work for the buyer. Three months later, he broke his contract and returned home to Bitter Bark, North Carolina and, together with his five siblings, created a now renowned dog rescue and training facility on the family property. He's reclusive and elusive, refusing any media contact. Now, journalist Jessica Curtis wants to do a television feature [...]

    2. You can’t go wrong with a romance written by Roxanne St. Claire. But Sit…Stay…Beg was an extra special combination of emotional family drama, a perfect love match, and a compassionate story about the people who rescue dogs in need of help. Although I think that, as is probably the case most of the time, it was the dogs that did the saving. ‘She had to write the story of a man who lived to help, who longed to protect, who loved to save anyone or anything that needed saving.’First of all [...]

    3. 4.5 Stars but went ahead with a full 5 stars on this. Right off the bat, I'll admit that my review is a little biased because I admire the author for having the cover featuring an actual rescue dog (and will continue to do so throughout the series) and donating a percentage of all sales to a rescue. But just a little. If the story had been horrible, I wouldn't have rated this 5 stars let alone 4. I love the overall series premise and the basic story idea. I thought it was extremely well written, [...]

    4. Sit Stay Beg;1st in The Dog Father Series--First in a new series known as The DogFather! Sweet and touching book. My heart lies in rescue books. Ms. St. Claire took mine after I read this one. 5. I wanted a feel good story and SitStayBeg looked like it would fill the bill. It does have some very good characters, several of whom are dogs. The two main characters have known each other before. In fact Jessie Curtis spend a lot of her younger years at the Kilcannon home and always wished that she was part of the family. She comes back to interview Garrett Kilcannon and the result is surprising. I liked the characters, felt that the secret was a little contrived, but enjoyed the ride to the f [...]

    7. Anyone who spends time with me quickly learns of my love of rescue dogs, big families, and heartwarming romance. Combine those three into a series of books set in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and you can count me one very happy reader. 12. This one was very cute, plus there were all sorts of dogs, how could you not love that!I liked that Jessie was getting her big chance, but worried that she was going to do it covertly. I was glad when she let Garrett know pretty quickly why she was back in Bitter Bark and at the farm. It was great to see her be welcomed back by her BFF and other Kilcannon family members. Garrett was predictably leery, but only because he was hiding a secret. After learning the secret, I can see why he was leery, [...]

    13. An awesome start to a new series by Roxanne St Claire. What's not to love, sexy brothers, rescue dogs and a close family that works together rescuing dogs. 17. Reviewed at Romance Is AgelessThere is nothing in this life quite like the unconditional love and devotion of a dog for their one person. Absolutely nothing. I’m extremely lucky to be the one person in our family for our Sheltie, Harley Quinn. Harley loves us all, but it is me that she is most loyal and protective of. It’s me that she will run to when she’s happy, sad, sick, scared or simply wants that extra belly rub. Being her person is a precious gift, one I will always treasure. That a [...]

    22. Just the type of book I like to read - full of family and loved dogs! So my expectations for this book were highd I'm happy to say my expectations were exceeded. Can't wait to read the next one!A tragic death begins the tale of the Kilcannons, but that death is the catalyst for a new direction for the family - the expansion of Waterford Farms into a top-notch dog facility for training and rescue as well as ancillary services. I really loved the concept for this series and kudos to the author for [...]

    23. I was disappointed in this book over the author's failure to do an elemental bit of research which contributed to a sorry disconnect at a critical junction in the story. One of the owners of a dog rescue and training center [premier, nation-leading, etc.] is so ignorant that he castigates a woman for her failure to register a mixed breed dog. Not only can such a dog never be registered, but once the registered bitch [and there is nothing in the story that indicates the bitch was AKC] gives birth [...]

    24. For the love of dogs & peopleJessica Curtis spent her formative years at the Kilcannon home, til she was whisked away by her mother. She must now convince Garrett Kilcannon to grant her an in depth interview to help her win a promotion to the anchor seat at her news agency. The Kilcannon family run the nationally renown Waterford Farm, where they train and rescue dogs. The relationship that builds between Jessie & Garrett is deliberate, engaging and ultimately wonderful. The Kilcannon fa [...]

    26. How exciting to discover a wonderful new series by such a great author! I've been a fan of St. Claire since the beginning of her "Barefoot" series, and she hasn't disappointed me yet. I've never been a big dog lover and have never owned one due to allergies in the family, but this book makes me want to go out and adopt a dog from a shelter. The connections between the dogs and humans almost surpassed the connections between the humans here! Garrett and Jess' heartwarming and pretty clean story s [...]

    27. Jessie and Garrett and Lola of course sigh. Roxanne has freaking done it again with Sit Stay Beg! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and rescuing a dog some day has been a dream of mine since I can remember. This book managed to capture my heart and attention from the very first page. This book touches on family, acceptance, friendship, and of course the most important of all love. 28. There are few things that are better in the life of a reader than discovering a brand new series that you love right from the first word. Sit, Stay, Beg! is exactly that type of book. With the Dogfather series Roxanne St. Claire hits all the perfect notes of hot guys, lovable dogs, and the women who love them both. Garrett and Jessie have a history together, but if they can work through their various trust and relationship scars from their separate pasts they might just have the best gift of all [...]
