    1. First, the disclaimer. "I was provided a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own." That done, REIGN OF ERROR is the second book in Ms. Barritt's newest series, The Worst Detective Ever Mystery Series. I have to admit, she is a really clueless investigator, but I can't say I'd do much better! I have to love following Joey around and trying to unravel the clues as she learned them I'm anxious to follow her into the next book in the series Safety in Blunders to see what happens next!I love [...]

    2. Reign of Error by Christy Barritt continues her story featuring Joey Darling as she hunts for her missing father. From the first chapter, I was drawn into the suspense with a dead body coming on shore after the Polar Plunge. Throughout the novel, Joey with help from Zane and Jackson, tries to solve the murder of "Mark Hamill" as she refers to the dead man. As for the pace of the novel, it seemed to move a little too slow for my taste. Yes, Joey did chase the bad guys and hunt for clues, but Barr [...]

    3. Reign of Error, book two in the Worst Detective Ever Series, was SO good! I think I might've even liked it better than the first. It's a fascinating mystery that left me guessing until the end. I read it as fast as I could. There was a lot of action and I found it to be unputdownable. (Is that a word?)Joey's hosting and participating in the Polar Plunge Challenge. The event takes a turn for the worse when a body washes ashore the body of a man Joey had just talked to right before the Plunge. She [...]

    4. As usual, I love the fast pace and suspense in Christy Barritt's books. Joey used to play a detective on TV. Now she is trying to figure out what happened to her father as well as identify her stalkers and keep from being implicated in a real murder. There are so many twists and turns. You will love this summer read. This is better #2 of the series called Worst Detective Ever Mystery Series. I will read #1 and #3 soon. You don't have to read them in order, but the characters do "talk" a bit abou [...]

    5. Hijinks on the dunesJoey finds herself in the middle of more trouble than she knows what to do with. All she really said to find her Dad, who has always been the stalwart in her life until he mysteriously disappears. Trying to dodge crazed fans, figure out her feelings for fun loving Zane and super cop Jackson, and avoids bad publicity and a pushy agent, while doing a little work in the local beauty shop might be a bit much for any woman.

    6. Love this character Joey who gets involved with a murder investigation that is also linked to her dad's disappearance. She is a bumbling detective who gets herself in more than one bad situation. She is very relatable and questions herself because of bad choices in the past. I enjoyed reading this second book in the series and look forward to the next one! This was a gift from the author however this review is my own opinion and words. Highly recommend !

    7. I'm totally getting into this series! This book was a great, fun read. I'm really loving the development of Joey's character. The vulnerability that shows through as we learn about her past, yet the courage, determination and spunk also. I like her. And a likeable main character is always a must in a good book series! Straight onto the next book in the series for me.

    8. I liked this second book in the series even better than the first book. Joey Darling is such a lovable heroine--she can't help herself, she just HAS to get involved and try to solve the mystery she's stumbled upon. I will keep reading because I have to find out what has happened to her dad and because I can't wait to see which of the two handsome hunks she'll end up with!

    9. I liked this book but I feel like we are running in circles. It's also being drug out a little too much. I feel like this book should have been the last in the series. Oh. And I'm totally team Jackson!!!!

    10. Joey Darling Mystery Another awesome story by this Author. Story about a TV actress who played a PI on the show and now is trying to find her father and always seems to fine trouble along the way.

    11. The first book was silly and fun. This one just seems stupid. The protagonist seems to have learned nothing from the first book, and in the interim has become more judgmental while also managing to drop 20 IQ points.

    12. Christy Barritt has another winner with Joey Darling! I am enjoying this series, and I like the intrigue of trying to figure out what happened to Joey's dad. Fun mysteries!

    13. I love this series! This series is one of my favorite so far! It's full of fun, romance and mystery. I can't wait for the next book!

    14. Joey Darling has become the face of the Outer Banks, thanks to the mayor who offered her the deal of doing PR rather than community service for impeding a police investigation. One of her tasks is to participate in the Polar Plunge. One participant dies and it doesn't look like an accidental drowning. Joey was the last person to talk to him and pictures of her are found in his jacket. Who is he and what does Joey have to do with this? She appears to have a stalker fan club out there trying to re [...]

    15. I'm loving Joey. This one has a very intriguing mystery for her to solve and she finally got some information regarding the disappearance of her father. That case is far from solved though, so I'm definitely left wanting more! I also found myself liking Jackson more and more. We get a better understanding of him as he and Joey are forced to work together. Her neighbor, Zane, is showing more interest too, so the love triangle is heating up! That should make the next one interesting! I would like [...]

    16. Stellar!I absolutely love this series! I could not put this book down. I enjoyed it even more than the first (if you haven't read the first one yet you definitely should, its awesome!). The subtle humor had me laughing out loud several times. I love how Barritt keeps peeling back the layers of her characters and we learn more about them consistently. The plot is constantly moving along but yet is never confusing. I appreciate more than I can express having such quality work to enjoy! I am counti [...]

    17. I'm so loving this new series. I feel like I am developing some serious emotions with these characters as the books go on. I loved the although Joey is kind of spacey she is still able to figure things out in her investigations. I am also enjoying the love triangle that is starting to develop between Joey, Jackson and Zane it reminds me of the earlier books of the Squeaky Clean series by this same Author. These books are simply amazing and I can't wait for more! Note: I was gifted a copy of this [...]

    18. In Book 2 of the Worst Detective Ever by Christy Barritt Joey Schermerhorn formerly known in Hollywood as actress Joey Darling who played as Raven Remington in a hit TV series as a Detective now has to really become a detective in her real life because someone is singling her out yet again. Will the questions and clues of the new murder lead her any closer to finding her Dad now and hope for her own life? Can the people she has recently met that she has called friends really be trusted? Or shoul [...]

    19. Another easy read and hard to put down from Barritt, love this character (Joey) and her personality from the first page and the story EASILY continues in both a fun and mysterious way! Loved the Mark Hamill look alike, the constant actor/TV Show/movie references, and her confidence picks WAY up in this book which just added to liking her :) I'm so Team Jackson and my fave scene is when they're on the beach watching meteorites that gets interrupted by.a crab!!!!!!! Come on!!! Zane is a great neig [...]

    20. I loved this next episode of Joey Darling and her Worse detective skills.Suspense and tension propelled me through the book. The characters, the storyline and locale were interesting.

    21. This is book two of the Worst Detective Ever Series. Joey is continuing to try to begin a new life in Outer Banks and continue the search for her father. I did struggle with caring about trying to solve the murder that happened at the beginning of the book. I cared more about the ongoing story of trying to figure out what happened to Joey’s father and the relationship between Joey and Jackson. I would like to see the two of them together, I just don’t trust Zane. But Joey gets dragged into t [...]

    22. LOVE Christy's new character, Joey! This story picks up after book 1 with the same energy. The love triangle between Joey, Zane and Jackson is going to a new level as it is become more and more obvious the men have feelings for her. I think I know who she'll end up choosing, but it's going to be interesting to see the journey. The story was intense and well thought out. Christy leaves us just enough clues to give us an idea but a lot of misdirection. Can't wait for book 3!!

    23. Joey is at it again in this next installment of her life after acting. She has been suckered into participating in a polar plunge and the person who went in next to her winds up dead and she is a suspect. Not liking being in this position and finding out that he has a link to her missing father, she makes a vow to find the killer, no matter what the cost. I enjoyed reading this book and following the life of Joey and finding out how she handles all that is going on her life. Can't wait for more. [...]

    24. I am in Christy Barritt heaven. Two new books in a new series one month apart. Joey Darling is an disgraced actress who relocated to the Outer Banks to find more about her father's disappearance. The problem is that she is no detective and seems to get in a lot of trouble along away. To make matters worse she doesn't know whom she can trust. A fun and fast pace mystery.

    25. Starting over has never been easy, but for Joey Darling, it's exponentially more difficult. A group of crazed fan stalkers force her former role into the present. Add a serial killer, new mysteries and murder and a few clues to her father's disappearance. With help and hindrance from the town, Joey struggles to recreate herself or get hurt in the process. You'll sigh, groan and cheer while enjoying book two in The Worst Detective Ever series. I received a copy of the book without obligation. Thi [...]

    26. Joey Darling has been trying to distance herself from her role as TV detective, but somehow she continues to find herself in the middle of a real life murder case. Joey wants nothing more than to continue looking for clues into her father's disappearance. She soon begins to wonder if all the other strange things that continue to happen around her are in some way connected. Unlike chasing bad guys on TV, Joey soon finds this danger is very real.
