I will go out on a pussy-willow limb here and say that most likely the star kitten is the same in both books, although the dedication illustration here is of an adult cat.Herford must have spent hours watching Hafiz as he lived his kitten life. 3. This book is dedicated to Hafiz, the author's cat. Well, there you have it. Splendid illustrations and poems. :)

    4. I would have rated the book more than 5 stars had such an option been available. The verse is beautiful and well-presentedd that it is all about cats is the icing on the cake
