    1. This is a well-written, informative, and engaging narrative about how the Vietnam War affected real Vietnamese and Chinese people. I've always had a superficial knowledge of the Vietnam War and always from an American perspective. Reading about Lili's experience growing up in Saigon during the conflict deepened my understanding of history. The accompanying illustrations are gorgeous even on my Kindle so I can only imagine how beautiful they must look in the print edition. It's a compelling story [...]
