    1. So happy i found this!Very helpful for starting a ketogenic lifestyle. I found it to super useful. It gives the basic reasons for needing to change your eating as well as easy exercise tips and great recipes.

    2. I read this book because it was being offered for free on my kindle unlimited page. And it seems as if every health article you read about these days is about the "Keto Diet". This book provides 5 basic easy to follow principles - cut back on sugar, limit your carbs, exercise, etc. Basically what everyone should be doing on a daily basis. There's nothing in here surprising that you can't find on the internet, but it was well put together for any reader who's looking to be introduced to the Keto [...]

    3. My weight loss has stalled and no changes to exercise has made a different, so I've known the next step is a change to diet. I'm a fan of temporary diets, so I knew that whatever I did would have to be a lifestyle change. I've been pondering the Keto diet for a while now. All resources I found made it seem like a difficult transition. Low-carb is really hard with our American diet, as even some favorite fruits and veggies are packed with carbs (one banana has more carbs than allowed in one day). [...]

    4. Good book for the basic overview of the ketogenic diet. Many of the recipes look good and we will likely try many of them, but it’s hard to tell how many servings each recipe is meant to have. The meal plans provided look good. We will likely make our own though for the ease of everyone in the family doing the same thing. Most of the breakfasts are nut mixes or smoothies. I am the only person in the house who likes smoothies enough to possibly have one everyday. I was also surprised to find fe [...]

    5. This is a decent book but watch out for some of the recipes, they are WAY OFF. For example, the Raspberry Cheesecake (pp. 126) calls for 2/3 c coconut oil, ONLY 1/2 cup cream cheese, and 6 eggs. What the heck. That is not cheesecake. I made it (thankfully only half the recipe) and it was like a bad greasy omelette. Look at any other cheesecake recipe (like the one inside the box of cream cheese) and the filling is made out of 1 egg per package (250g or 2 cups) of cheesecake! Just ridiculous. A r [...]

    6. I’m glad I got this from the library instead of paying money for it. When I read about diet and nutrition, I like to read about the author to see what his or her education and credentials are. There is no author bio at all in this book. After looking the book up on , I saw that this book is apparently written by a chef under a pen name with a very vague mention of the author’s experience. Who writes a cookbook under a pen name? This author doesn’t appear to have a blog or any other informa [...]

    7. The Complete Ketogenic Diet for Beginners: Your Essential Guide to Living the Keto Lifestyle is a reference book about the Ketogenic diet. This is definitely a book for beginners and not so much for seasoned Keto-ers. While I love the simple explanations of getting started with Keto without an overwhelming amount of science behind the diet, I did wish there could be a little bit more of the science. I don't think I will use the two week starter meal plans, but I do think someone who has never re [...]

    8. Great bookEven though book lacked many recipe pictures, it provided easy to follow recipes (vs some books with a picture). The author was informative and had a strong knowledge on Keto. I loved the many substitutions for recipes and ways to cook the meals. Beginning of book was very educational with fundamental on low carb meals and the end of book provided excellent resources (blogs, websites, links, conversion tables, food calculators, etc). I feel like this book has equipped me to be knowledg [...]

    9. Definitely for beginners, but gives a nice easy to understand overview of what the ketogenic diet is and why it should work. It is encouraging and makes you want to go out and buy some avocados and bacon and get started. "Complete" might be a stretch, it covers the basics, gives you some meal plans, shopping lists, recipes including some all purpose ones that are nice to have. Best for someone who's heard about ketogenic but isn't sure it's for them or someone who did Atkins way back and wants a [...]

    10. Wow! This is a great inforative book. Although I got it free on Kindle Unlimited I went ahead and bought it! It is just what a beginner or even an expert diet plan requires. Explanations of why you eliminate certain foods. I like that there is so much variety in the foods and recipes. Although there aren't any pictures, to compare with my other cookbooks I have who needs pictures? I would recommend this cookbook (Informational guide) to anyone who is hoping to eat better, feel better and look he [...]

    11. Changing my life ~ After watching a number of TED talks and other information-packed online videos, I've decided to try the Ketogenic lifestyle to improve my health. I tend to think I'm relatively healthy, but I know I can do better. This is the first book I've bought on the subject and I'm really pleased with it. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but I read through most of them and they sound great. I liked that the author gave meal plans and grocery lists to get you started. It's everyth [...]

    12. Great info and recipes. Love that it notes gluten free and includes vegetarian. However, i feel that in the beginning, where it talk about ketoacidosis vs. ketosis, the author was wrong in stating that in Type 1 Diabetics, ketoacidosis happens due to low blood sugar levels. That is not correct. It happens when there is extremely high blood sugar levels, especially for extended periods of time. This piece info is not vital for the average reader, but as a type 1 diabetic, i would appreciate accura [...]

    13. The information is extremely basic and limited, and the meal plan would require way too much time in the kitchen. I realize a cookbook author wants to use the provided recipes, but a meal plan that expects me to cook three new recipes every day, not including snacks, expects too much. In addition, the carb counts on some recipes can’t be accurate since adding the carbs of individual ingredients and then dividing by the number of servings does NOT equal the listed total.

    14. This book is a great introduction to the Ketogenic Diet and gives the reader fair warning about the discipline needed to follow the diet correctly. Although I have opted not to follow this plan (not yet anyway), the book contains MANY excellent recipes- that are both gluten free (making my wife a believer) and low carb. The book will remain on my kindle so I may access the recipes on a regular basis.

    15. While I'm extremely skeptical of any diet that claims to cure major medical ailments (diabetes, cancer, vertigo, Alzheimer's are all referred to in this book) I liked a lot of the recipes and I'm sure I'll use them in the future. Nothing wrong with some low-carb lunches. Thanks to Amy Ramos and Rockbridge Press for a free copy.

    16. WowI sat up all night and read this book from cover to cover! This is the 2.5 book I've read about Keto. Including Dr Mercola's fat eating book.I think I'm almost ready to go Keto. I really liked this book. Easy to read, to the point. I'd recommend it to anyone that's looking at Keto.

    17. I was blessed to win this book in a Giveaway. I read it from cover to cover. At first, I wasn't sure what the Ketogenic Diet was, but after absorbing the information, I feel more knowledgeable. This is a great reference guide, so happy recipes were included; I look forward to trying them with family.

    18. Decent information for a beginner This book has a decent amount of information for a true beginner to the ketogenic diet. It has a nice 2 week meal plan, complete with shopping lists and recipes to get anyone started.

    19. Keto Great ReadAwesome book to get the facts on Keto Lifestyle. Also, great recipes in the back! If looking to start the Keto Lifestyle I think this is a good read to help one get started.

    20. Do Not Start Keto Without Reading This Book First! The best information and recipes I've found for the amazing and HOT Keto Diet! A must read for all of us starting the Ketogenic food regimen and lifestyle. Thank you Amy!

    21. Good helpful tips and sample meal plans for beginners. I'm such a picky eater that I probably would not be able to follow the meal plans, but I did like some of the recipes that were included. Available on Kindle Unlimited as of the date of this review.

    22. Good info for wellness coordinatorsExcellent source of the what and how and why of Keto. I'm a wellness coordinator and it helps understanding new diets. This book is a good place to find quality info.

    23. Good general introduction to the Ketogenic Diet. Did not finish the book because due to my own personal medical situation I was afraid this diet would be harmful to me. The book itself was informative and useful

    24. I found it to be a great foundation to understanding keto dieting. There is a wide variety of recipes in the back, that fit an array of different pallets. There should be something for everyone to enjoy.

    25. Quick but not as much info as I was hoping forI was hoping for more in depth explanation about cheese and protein and whether to consider cheese a protein or a fat. It’s kinda both but dairy is new to me so I’m looking for more details on that.

    26. Appreciate the meal plans.I would have appreciated more information about Keto itself, including troubleshooting. Many recipes call for lamb, which is expensive. I guess I expected more information about Keto itself.

    27. The BEST I've read on KetoAmy has sold me on the benefits of this plan. Not only in theory but in actual clear, easy application of the facts. The recipes alone are a goldmine. I already posted a longer review so I'll be brief here. This is an excellent resource. Get it. Use it.

    28. Nice book Good book , not a lot of background on how the science works, appear to be some nice recipes , will try them
