    1. Kate is planning her best friend's wedding and she wants it to be perfect. Kate's life hasn't been a bed of roses-she's working hard, but her boss still has some sort of grudge against her and when she was planning her own wedding, she was jilted by her fiancee, who cheated on her with her own sister. Time has passed, but her sister's betrayal still hurts and it doesn't help that people in the town are trying not to upset Kate, when the weddings topic comes up. Kate is trying to show that everyt [...]

    2. ARC received via Netgalley for an honest reviewI adored the last Olivia Miles series I read, so picking up One Week To The Wedding was a no brainer. This is the first in the Misty Point series, and more of a cross to women's fiction than romance - though there is still plenty of romance, I mean, there is a wedding in the title!I adored Kate from the start. Through all her hurt, she is doing everything to give her best friend the most amazing wedding, even though it is killing her slowly on the in [...]

    3. Love Alec. He was going through a lot and seeing him work through things and forge his own path at the end was great. He began as a workaholic who was trying to please his dad but came out as himself or the beginnings of himself. He gives off wrong impressions due to his drive to get his brother back in his life. He misses him but as the story progresses we see who he is. He is smart, funny, sweet and kind. He learns about his brother William as well and they get closer. He also learns what he w [...]

    4. One Week to the Wedding is my first Olivia Miles book and I'm so happy that I've had the chance to read her - I can already tell she's well on her way to becoming a favorite. I felt such a strong pull to Kate, our heroine, and the plight to plan and manage her best friend Elizabeths' wedding. No one would have blamed Kate for taking a pass, but she's made of sterner stuff and wouldn't have it any other way. Kate's biggest challenge is getting the grooms' brother Alec to his appointments on time, [...]

    5. Kate Daniels is a wedding planner and right now she is helping with her best friend, Elizabeth’s wedding. She is trying to calm Elizabeth’s nerves as her fiancé, William’s father doesn’t seem to care for her. William’s mother passed away some years back and his father is a high-powered financial executive. William’s brother, Alec, who works with his father will be there for the wedding as well. Elizabeth feels that he doesn’t approve of the wedding either.Kate was to have been mar [...]

    6. This book did nothing for me. I thought at first that I was enjoying this book although, it did not a bit to warm up to the characters but then I realized that I never really found my groove with the story or the characters. In fact, not by purpose (in the beginning) but I stopped reading at the half way mark. As time passed I found my desire to go back to the book lessen. To be honest, I can't remember what happened in the first half of the story.

    7. I'm an absolute sucker for books about wedding planners and I'm in a major chick lit mood, so this one was a perfect read for me. The oceanfront setting was dreamy and I really fell into the characters and their worlds. Can't wait to read the next title in the Misty Point series!

    8. Actual rating: 3.5 StarsOne Week to the Wedding is the first and exciting new novel from author Olivia Miles. This book is fun and light and has just the right amount of drama. I enjoyed Kate from the moment I met her. I thought she was an amazing friend and loved that she helped plan her bff’s wedding despite having her own personal reservations when it comes to tying the knot. Be a wedding planner is no easy feat when it comes to her jilted heart, but if anyone can do it, it’s Kate….Char [...]

    11. *ARC review 3.5 StarsWedding planner extraordinaire Kate Daniels is planning her best friend’s wedding and nothing can go wrong. Not like it went wrong when she was planning her own wedding when she was jilted by her fiancé weeks before the ceremony when he admitted he was cheating on her…with her sister! So Kate has some redeeming to do. She needs to show herself and everyone else that she is ok, back on the saddle, ready to rock and roll. And so that sets the stage for this lovely little [...]

    12. Reviewed at Keeper BookshelfWhile I was reading One Week to the Wedding all I could think of was how would I have reacted if I was in Kate’s unfortunate shoes. And I’m certain it wouldn’t be with the relative grace and strength that she showed. There is a bitter sweetness to this story that I would consider more Women’s Fiction than Romance. As a wedding planner it’s Kate’s job to make certain that the bride’s wedding goes off without a hitch – or at least solve those hitches bef [...]

    13. I love when an author is able to tell a good romance without having to resort to XXX scenes every chapter to fill up the page quota; you know the whole tell don’t show thing. Olivia Miles does a great job of spinning a tale that’s so much more than girl meets boy and falls in love. Most of the story is told from Kate Daniels point of view but you also get a bit from her sister Charlotte’s and like they say there’s always 2 sides to every story.Miles paints Kate as this strong but bruised [...]

    14. Kate Daniels is planning her best friend’s wedding. It should be a happy occasion but it is not without its sorrows for Kate. Kate was engaged to be married not too long ago and it ended because he cheated on her with her sister Charlotte. Kate works hard to put that behind her and ignore Charlotte who keeps calling her to make amends. Kate has her hands full with the best man who is more interested in making his business work than the wedding. Will Kate get the wedding to go off without a hit [...]

    15. After her own wedding fell apart, Kate Daniels is left struggling to put on a brave face and help plan her best friends wedding. Every facet of the planning is reminding her of what she lost, and stirring up the hurt and bad memories all over again. But then she meets Alec, the brides soon to be brother in law, and he becomes the perfect distraction for her, an irritating distraction no less, but he definitely helps her focus her thoughts on something else for a change. But just when things in Ka [...]

    17. This is #1 in the Misty Point series.  Besides reading books on fireman, SEALs, etc, I love when books are centered around a wedding.  Kate has to plan her best friend's wedding.  It is her job as a wedding planner, but this wedding is special to her.  She wants everything to go perfectly, but the bride, Elizabeth, thinks her groom's family does not like her and is worried the groom's brother, Alec will pull something.  Could you plan weddings for a living if your fiancé let you before the [...]

    18. Recently jilted Kate finds herself planning her best friend’s wedding. This is all fine and dandy, in theory, but after watching her ex-fiance run off with her sister, she would rather hide under the covers with her dog and a book than look at centerpieces and attend fittings. With the wedding one week away, Kate is busy. But just because she is busy doesn’t mean she can’t hang out with the groom’s brother a little bit. Right? When I stumbled across One Week to the Wedding by Olivia Mile [...]

    21. What is meant to be a cause for celebration, could end up being anything but. One Week to the Wedding is a tale of sisterhood, betrayals and second chances. Olivia Miles always delivers stories that are full of substance, not just entertaining. Kate and Charlotte are sisters with a complicated relationship. What should have been an unbreakable bond has ended up tarnished by betrayal and jealousy. I guess that old the statement about not realizing how important something is until too late is true [...]

    22. Olivia Miles takes a slight departure from her small town romances in her new book One Week to the Wedding. Though the small town elements are still well in evidence, this novel falls more into the women’s fiction category as we see Kate put her life back together after the ultimate betrayal, all while making sure her best friend has the wedding of her dreams. I really enjoyed Kate’s story. Miles aptly demonstrates that thing are not always what they seem and sometimes the best thing you can [...]

    23. I was given a chance to read this book with an honest review when I was done. I very much enjoy reading books by Olivia Miles and this one did not disappoint. Kate is a wedding planner that had a very bad experience with her own wedding that never happened. She is planning her best friends wedding, which seems to bring up many memories that she would rather be forgetting. 26. One Week to the WeddingThis story was about two sisters who were used by one jerk. He was engaged to the oldest. But got the youngest pregnant. Now a year later the oldest is a wedding planner for her best friend. There are bumps in this event. One the groom's brother/best man. Two her sister is back with a baby, needing to talk to her. And three her cheating ex is back in town. What is a girl to do? Not all is as it seems is the catch phrase in this story. Can't wait to read the next book.

    27. Kate enjoys her job as a wedding planner, especially since she is planning her best friend's wedding. Her boss, however, is something else. She continually double checks her and gives her the impossible to do. Kate knows it is because of her wedding fiasco last year. Who could forget that! It makes Kate suspicious of those she doesn't know and that includes the best man for her friend's wedding. It is her mission to get him where he needs to be. Unbeknownst to Kate he has an agenda of his own.

    28. Actually more a 4-1/2. A fantastic read. This is my first Olivia Miles but it is definitely not my last. One Week to the Wedding has made me a fan. My only issue is the ending felt rushed. The story is wonderfully paced until the end and then it felt like Miles wanted to get to the good part and passed over some of the resolution. Book 2 is due out before long so hopefully some of that hurried resolution will be revisited.

    29. One Week to the Wedding was a sweet book. It is your typical fall in love with the arrogant guy who turns out to be loving and sweet; but it was so much more than that. There were multiple characters in this book that switched back and forth, and each story tied into the other in a way that was different from most romance books. There were many surprises along the way. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the other books in this series!
