    1. This is the first volume of poetry from Shane Neilson that I've had the chance to read, and I was greatly impressed. The manner in which he weaves his passion for medical history and oddity into hauntingly dark and intense poetry is outstanding. Reading this book was like perusing an antique dental surgery collection, each line an instrument that pokes darkly into one's comfort zone while still drawing them in deeper out of pure curiously.
