    1. I loved the colorfulness of the Irish characters, but the story did not reach to my heart. I thought the character of Punch was too one-dimensional (the other characters' opinion of him is transformed, but he doesn't ever seem to go through any changes). Also, I found nothing in Judy I could relate to. She had the same attitude throughout the whole book; she never expressed anything but grumpiness.
