    1. I completed this informational text in Jan 16th, 2018. Pigs is great book for grades 1-3! I personally chose this book because pigs are my favorite animal! I could see myself using this text in the classroom. This book would be great to read aloud and to show students how to use a graphic organizer to remember information. One thing that surprised me is how smart pigs are! I never knew how easily pigs can be trained.

    2. 636.4 SearlA nonfiction book about pigs. Has numerous stories of pigs intelligence. Drug & gun sniffing pigs. Pig rescues of people and other animals. Pigs are easier to train than a dog. This book has great photographs and easy to read text. part of a series: Smart Animals!

    3. This is a great non-fiction book that I read to my kindergarten class when we talked about pigs on a farm. We found some interesting facts about pigs and documented them on a chart paper. The photographs in the book were great.
