    1. After just savoring, The Keeper: Mary Bennet's Extraordinary Journey, the first book in the Bennet Wardrobe series, I was eager to press on with this tweenie novella that is meant to augment the story of the hero (and heroine, for that matter) in the upcoming second book in the series.Henry Fitzwilliam's War takes place a few generations and many years forward from the events of book one telling the story of a young man from the late Victorian era desirous of being a hero. He chooses to use the [...]

    2. This is related to the Wardrobe book about Kitty Bennet, The Exile (not currently available as I write this), and telling the tale of Henry Fitzwilliam's Wardrobe experience as a prelude to Kitty's story. For those not familiar with Mr. Jacobson's Wardrobe series, this is an altered Pride and Prejudice universe where the Bennet family owns a piece of furniture that allows anyone of their bloodline to step forward in time to find the answer to a question about his or her destiny and then return. [...]

    3. This is not a stand alone novella. You must read The Keeper first and even then you are left with a mystery on your hands. The book description plus Debbie B.'s review give an excellent telling of what this is about, what to expect. Henry uses the Wardrobe as he desires to make his mark on history and his generation is living in a time of peace (1892). He does not want to lead a mundane life. So the Wardrobe casts him ahead and into the time of war. He is on the battlefield October, 1915 when an [...]

    4. A beautifully written novella introducing a major character, Henry Fitzwilliam, great-grandson of Lydia Bennet in a historical/alternate journey of Pride & Prejudice in the Bennet Wardrobe series. It is rich in history, emotions and the five senses that blend seamlessly together. This novella is next in line after 'The Keeper' and before the next book comes out "The Exile". The book description gives a good synopsis of the story. The conditions the soldiers of the Great War have to bear are [...]

    5. I am trying to figure out how this one fits in the overall story line, but I love the authors concept here. I enjoyed this experience with the traveling Bennetts.

    6. 1883 and Viscount Henry Fitzwilliam uses the wardrobe to make his mark, and ends up on the battlefields of 1915. Where lessons are learnt, and when he is recuperating an unexpected lady is met.An enjoyable short novella to bridge the gap to the next in the wardrobe series.

    7. Gotta love the footnotesThat was an interesting walk straight into the horrible first world war . Interesting to put faces on characters that went through . I will admit some of it was confusing but I am gonna read the second book

    8. A prequel I don't think I should have started with. Confusing, and the beginning read like a history lesson of the male attitude pre-WW1, and be careful what you wish for.

    9. Marked as "read" because I did about 4 times. Hope my GR friends will find it enjoyable. I did not rate it!!!
