    1. As a music dork, Rhythm and Blues in New Orleans, was super up my alley. Almost a chronicle, rather than a story, john Broven documents the music movements and the folks who were a part of the creation of some of the greatest music, the world has heard: Rhythm and blues, Rock n Roll, Soul, funk, with the blues, gospel and world rhythms foundations. 2. Encyclopedic review of the many great musicians who creates and shaped New Orleans R&B, but not particularly readable and lacking a cohesive theme.
