    1. Good book, that seemed to be a mashup of Cinderella, My Fair Lady and a little bit of The Parent Trap. Ivy has spent most of her life on a riverboat on the Missouri River, raised by her Uncle Patrick. She's led a pretty carefree life, wearing trousers, hanging out with the deckhands, swimming in the river and playing with her pet mouse. That all comes to an end with the arrival of Travis Murphy.Travis has made his home on the Lucky Clover Ranch for most of his life, raised like a son by the ranc [...]

    2. I found this one hard to get through and many times I put it away only to take it up again to continue on reading again. The story itself was inventive, but I think it was the heroine that was a turn off for me. She really grated on my nerves for some reason. Perhaps I just couldn't relate to her.

Thus, Ivy’s life is about to take a drastic turn—and that’s even before Travis Murphy shows up telling her she’s got an inher [...]

    4. "Cinderella meets Professor Higgins in Arens’ delightful new Western adventure. Readers will be charmed by the spirited heroine and her love-struck cowboy" (4 stars @ RT Book Reviews).

    5. DNF @ 27%Ivy's country bumpkin portrayal just is not working for me. Neither is the mouse she keeps in her hat that nobody knows about (other than Travis). I don't find that adorable or cute, and I wasn't finding the narrative amusing. NEXT
