    1. Engaging but at times Unlikely Viking TaleI had a hard time deciding what rating to give this book. The story is well-written though at times a bit slow. Though no date is given, the story is likely set in the early 11th century when the Norse made voyages to the new world, and the author’s note at the end seemed to confirm that timeframe. Merritt has obviously done considerable research into the Viking way of life and did a great job of showing us the culture and travel on a Viking dragonship [...]
