    1. Drinen tactfully places her Tenderfoots, and their haunting and rich stories from Earth world, against the beautifully developed back drop of Enova--a world with its own triumphs and ghosts. This juxtaposition brings into sharp relief how tragic, twisted and tender it all is to be alive. The Enovians may be the "sci-fi", but what real life drives real humans to at times is the real baffler. Just as powerful, however, is Drinen's reminder of how resilient, remarkable and compassionate real life c [...]

    2. Told from rotating points of view, this YA Sci-fi journey story about troubled Earth teens who are pulled into another world to live carries the reader from one conflict to the next with riveting intrigue, unceasing action, and definite heart. This first volume in the foreseeable series does quite a lot of foundation work, introducing the reader to the world of Enova, a place similar to Earth, but different in many important ways. The author switches between four characters views and only drops h [...]

    3. A great first novel that is really engaging. Introducing an alternate universe in this fantasy fiction that has wonderful, multi-layered Earth teens from diverse backgrounds finding their feet in this strange new land. The characters have great depth and the story is presented in an appealing narration. Will be reading the whole series, looking forward to the next!!!

    4. For a first book, I was impressed with the inventiveness of the story line. She tells the story from the perspective of the 4 main characters with a fluid ease. The only "down" side is that I don't know how long I'll need to wait for the next book so I can see how the story continues.

    5. Yes, sir-ee bob! I rated my own book five stars because that's how much fun I had writing it! I took Toni Morrison's advice and wrote something I wanted to read, so yeah, I enjoyed the heck out of it! I hope you do, too.

    6. I don't even know where to begin! From the cover, I would have never guessed what type of book this was going to be. The blurb made me think that it was more of a sci fi novel, based on the jumping between worlds. But after reading, it seems almost a cross between sci fi and fantasy. There is a definite romantic aspect there, too, which I like. My favorite genre-pairing is fantasy romance. In this book, we have four complete strangers who land in Enova, a distant world. They arrive at the same tim [...]

    7. DISCLAIMER: I received an e-arc of this book in exchange for honest review, as part of a blog tour.Four young adults from Earth have just awakened from the Deep Sleep. I want to say that, right off the bat, I love Logan's character. Cocky, but sweet and really funny. Sammy is cool, collected (for the most part) and very quick to assess situations (for the most part). The characters are introduced to their Guardians, but the only one to know who their Guardian was, is Logan. Linnea and Daisy are [...]

    8. I WAS SENT AN E-COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.I really liked that this book is told in rotating points-of-view from each of the characters. I think it gave more detail and insight as to what was going on in their world as well as told you a little more about the characters. The characters were also very diverse in their backgrounds which made them more realistic as they each struggled getting used to their new world. The idea of this world called Enova was pretty cool. I love [...]

    9. This is the first book in a young adult series as well as a first novel for this author. As all first books you get a lot of world building details. What kept me glued to this book is that each chapter is dedicated to each of our four orphaned teenagers that have landed in Envoa. Not only do you get to stay with one character each chapter leads you right into the next character part of the story. As the adventure moves along at a steady clip the four characters come together with their guardians [...]

    10. ~~I was given this to review ~~I was interested in Enova and the new world but somehow I never connected with any of the main characters Or their guardians for that matter. With the lack of connection issues with editing and grammar stood out like a sore thumb and I simply could not ignore it. This is certainly a teen fantasy book as the world and special capabilities of these earthens go through a crazy adventure. While this book did not interest me greatly, I am sure young high fantasy fans wo [...]
