    1. DNF Mini review:I found this book through Twitter. And was excited to read it because of the time travel aspect. Unfortunately I did not enjoy it. The book for the most part was bland. I wasn't connected to any of them, I didn't feel their friendship or the romance. The time travel was really bad. Despite not having any time travel books in my shelf (except for All Our Yesterdays) I am well versed on time travel. Through comics. This was the authors own version of time travel. It had magic and w [...]

    4. Checkout my full review on my blog! omgbooksandmorebooks.I was really surprised by the sci-fi and time travel elements of this book. I really liked how well the author explained the time travel elements throughout the novel. I haven't really read a time travel book, even though I have quite a few in my tbr pile, and I'm glad I got a taste of what this genre is about. The Midnight Society is definitely a roller coaster ride. The action was non stop to beginning to end. The plot was so complex that [...]

    5. ** Thank you to the author and The Book Squad for sending me an eARC in return for an honest review.Well, I finally finished the book. Yay for me!!! This wasn't really the book's fault to be honest. I have just been busy with Uni assignments :)I really liked the concept and overall feel of the story. It starts out with 15 year old Cate who lives under Witness Protection with her Mum and younger brother. One day on her way home from the Mall, she comes across a group of Timesurfers and finds ever [...]

    6. *i received a free ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review of her book* I LOVED this book and i cannot wait to read the rest of the series as it comes out because things are just starting to get interesting and crazy that i really wanna have the next book so i can continue on. The start of the book was a little slow for me to get into and i was also confused at the beginning because things weren't making sense to me at all but once i got over that bump the story really picked up a [...]

    7. ***I received an eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review ***So last year I read and generally enjoyed the original version of this book, back when it was called Timesurfers (which I also reviewed here on ). It was the sort of book that was, simply put, fun; filled with epic magic, awesome time travelling warriors, insanely crazy adventure, plenty of action and a cast of kickass characters. However, I have to admit, this rewritten and rebranded version, now titled The Midnight Socie [...]

    8. I would like to thank the author for providing me with a free ebook copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! "When you’re fighting for your life, or your family’s life, you do what you have to. You fought for your life today with all the resources at your disposal. You create and command the dead.”‘The Midnight Society’ by Rhonda Sermon is the first installment in what is to become a new YA series. The story revolves around Cate, a girl who is in witness protection following [...]

    9. I originally read this book when it was published as Timesurfers. I absolutely loved the story then and i LOVE it even more now as The Midnight Society. I believe Rhonda went above and beyond bringing us a more polished version of Timesurfers. To say that TMS is a "great read" is an understatement. As well as being highly entertaining, overflowing with witty one liners and jammed pack full of action TMS keeps you guessing up until the very last page.I love that Sermon took an overused and clich [...]

    10. Still at a high 5/5 stars!! Totally not biased :) Really glad that the essence still remained and it really is a little better than Timesurfers.I truly think that there is nothing to not like about The Midnight Society. There is a very strong foundation of the plot which stabilises the character and the events that occurs. All those forbidden love and harsh truth about the things one will do to protect his or her loved one. (Chap 26)-P.s I'll forever support #TeamAustin till volume 2, The Midnigh [...]

    11. ** I received an eARC by the author, and here is my honest review **I was so excited to read this, as I had read the synopsis and it completely peaked my interest! Before I get into more detail and my positive opinions of this book, have to say it was not an easy read to get into. The beginning was interesting and eventful enough to hold my interest. It was about a quarter of the way through where I was so confused I had to really focus on all the details; the time travel/magical aspect and the [...]

    13. *I received a free ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review*3.5 starsI really enjoyed The Midnight Society. The characters were fun, the plot was interesting and was paced well. The only issues I had with the book were that I found that some aspects of the magic weren't explained very well and some of the plot twists I found to be predictable. Overall, though, it is a really enjoyable and fun story that provides some very cool action scenes.

    14. Cate's spent the last 5 years in witness protection, but it doesn't prepare her for the magic she encounters when everyone at the bus stop she's at freezes, except for her. Those she meets while the rest are frozen have a mission, but they come back the next day. Their world of magic and time travel is opened up to her, and she finds herself in the middle of two sides, neither truly good or bad. But she has to choose a side, and her future--and the present of the new people in her life--hangs in [...]

    15. A good read!A teenage girl in witness protection programA bomb on a busA secret societyA lovely start to an incredible series! A fresh, entertaining read featuring a kicka*s heroine - YA fans should definitely check this book out.I really enjoyed this book but, at times, I was annoyed with certain characters. I felt like I couldn't read more but I'm glad I pushed through and read it. It is a good book - worth a try!Full of time travellers, powers, secrets, action, twists, good and evil; and Soci [...]

    16. This was a very interesting YA read it was very well written and the characters were complex and yet it was still easy to follow their stories, I liked how they all entwined together. you can easily get caught up in this book and loose track of the hours.A great read for anyone enjoying fantasy YA reads and I would think suitable for anyone of 13 and up.

    17. Review and giveaway at lightuptheshiningnightstars.wNote: I was given an eARC in return for an honest review. The beginning started off as any YA contemporary story instead of how I expected it would, that is, with some magic event right from the start. The catalyst occurred only after a few pages and it was very different too. Despite the fact that I didn’t enjoy it that much, I liked the idea of it. I was hooked in in the beginning and my interest sort of waned in the middle.Despite the relat [...]

    18. I was so excited when I found out about this book, the synopsis sounded so interesting and even better it was by an Australian author. I love finding and being able to support Australian authors. As I said I was excited for this book, I expected it to be good, but holy crap! The Midnight Society turned out to be AMAZING. I absolutely loved it! The story captivated me from the very beginning and I ended up flying through it. I can't even describe what I loved most, it was just so excellently writt [...]

    19. Full Review HereFirst off, I'm really sorry if this review sounds harsh, but I read this book after binge-reading a whole lot of Shadowhunter Chronicles short stories and extra scenes. I promise I really did enjoy it!I enjoyed how it got right into the story and action, without too much background information, it made me feel like I was immersed into the story. Most of the time, I find it really hard to read about time-travel through multiple PoVs, but I didn't really have trouble following the [...]

    20. DISCLAIMER: I was gifted an copy of this book in exchange for honest review.Dang it! When I started reading, all I wondered was how everything would play out. How the story unfolds is a complete and total surprise. This book follows Cate, a young girl who lives with her mother, Emme, and younger brother, Xavier. Their family is under surveillance in the witness protection program because Cate and her father had both been kidnapped. Cate's mother had worked with black ops, which might explain why [...]

    21. I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review.Opinion: I have been waiting to read this book for a couple months now and honestly had no idea what to expect. The way that the author kind of thrown you into this magical world was a little unexpected. I was a little confused at the very beginning because there was not much of an introduction of characters (which I sometimes complain about, I guess I’m never really happy, huh) But as soon as I caught on to the characters I was hooked! I rea [...]

    22. I received an eARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I have always love reading books that talks about time travel or different dimensions because they always spin your brain around and around. Usually, stories with time travel concerned is more on the science side of it. But this book was all about the magic and Rhonda Sermon did a great job at explaining the mechanics of time traveling in this series. This book was really action-packed, funny and light. I loved how i [...]

    23. 4.5 starsWow! The Midnight Society jumps straight into a fast pace and doesn't slow down. It is an amazingly complex plot, that at times, had me re-reading chapters to absorb all the elements of the mix of time travel & magic. It was one epic ride!  I felt that the characters & their relationships lacked some depth and development in places, but, I still fell in love with the ghost, Jonah. I personally felt a little old to relate to Cate in spots, but she is still a feisty, kickass lead [...]

    24. This is the first book in this amazing series is about a a young women named Cate who has been under witness protection for five years. The storyline flows through perfectly. The foundation of the plot is very strong as it stabilizes the characters and the events. The character's are realistic, captivating, and provide a certain kind of wisdom. This is a unique, fast paced, and a compelling story. There are a lot of twist and turns. If you like time travel along with fantasy & magic you will [...]

    25. Giving this 4 starsNow let me say not my normal genre, so no fault at the author or book at all. That I couldn't get into it. But I must say it was well written great story not boring at all. Just wasn't for me. It's time travel sci fi. And very good. But not for me. Now for someone who loves this genre would be perfect. I'd recommended it to ppl who looks for these reads. Even tho not my genre I still say great book. Never a dull moment. Just I wanted something out of my genre and I dont regret [...]

    26. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Cate and Jonah, Moretz's foot soldier. Although Cate is the central character my favourite character was Jonah. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it was a bit too descriptive in some parts where it didn't need to be but that in no way affected how much I loved this book or took anything away from the dialogue which was at times hilarious. Cate's sassiness combined with plot twists and laugh out loud moments. I really didn't want it to end. [...]

    27. I thought this story was great, and very well thought out. I'm excited for the next book! The time travel aspect of this book was incredibly interesting to me, and I quite enjoyed it. I would recommend picking it up!

    28. This is one of those books that you really can't rush through. There is so much going on and the concept of time travel and it's impacts to history was a bit overwhelming to follow at times. However, I really did get into it given the mystery behind why Cate is so important to everyone. And I must say that the author did a good job with all of the twists. I did eventually start to put together some of the mysteries, but waiting to see what Cate's reactions would be to those still kept me glued t [...]

    29. Time travel, without a blue police box!The story of a young teenager coming to age as her powers are awakened and her whole life becomes a movie drama/action adventure. Cate thought the biggest issues in her life were keeping secret her family was in the witness protection program and having a fake boyfriend who didn't know it was fake. How she soon learned she wished thoses were her only problems. The journey this young woman has to take is incredible, showing such an inner strength even some a [...]
