    1. 4 - "There's a first time for everything." Stars!Occasionally you pick up a book, not really sure what to expect, and be really pleasantly surprised with its contents. Training the Temp was definitely in that category for me in that the synopsis sounded right up my street, but let’s face it the arrogant Billionaire is a trope that has been done to death now. But Melinda Di Lorenzo delivered an absolutely outstanding romance, between two really likeable characters, it was just a pleasure to rea [...]

    2. Loved this one! This is the first book by this author I've read and I must say I really enjoyed her writing style. This was a great story with great characters, lots of humor, some very touching moments, and an overall entertaining read.Parker Stephenson is caught on tape making a pretty bold statement and that clip went viral! When Beth Styles is assigned the job of covering his press conference to discuss the tape by her editor, she can't believe her bad luck. She's pegged him as an arrogant j [...]

    3. Training the Temp is the first book I've read by Melinda Di Lorenzo. And as far as firsts go, it was a pretty good one with an enjoyable story and great characters. "Parker Stephenson made a claim that he could make any woman fall in love with him. Then train her to be a good wife. It got caught on video."Wealthy businessman, Parker is charming with just the right amount of arrogance and I loved him from the opening chapter. As I did Beth; outspoken, smart and with a stubborn determination to pr [...]

    4. I really loved this story. The characters were witty and I could feel the pull they had for each other. There is great dialog banter that made every chapter fly by. Plus, the story itself is just plain fun with enough angst for the characters. It is a must read!

    5. Reviewed at Keeper BookshelfThere are times in life when we stick our foot in our mouth so badly that there is no graceful way to get out of the situation. There are also times when one person’s preconceived ideas of another are so pounded in concrete that never will it be accepted that we are wrong in our assumptions. This is the situation that Parker and Beth are facing – and it’s gonna be one crazy ride to get them straightened out enough to fall in love, for real.I enjoyed Training The [...]

    6. The challenge is on. Who will win?Parker Stephenson is a private CEO who made the mistake of being caught in camera saying he could make any woman fall in love with him and then train her to be a good wife. He ruffled a lot of feathers with that statement.Beth Styles needs an interview with Parker in order to secure a permanent position with Between The Sheets, the magazine that she works for. She will do anything to get it.When Beth confronts Parker about his statement and wanting an interview, [...]

Beth is working as a part-time journalist and has been assigned to report on Parker. 8. Beth is a newly employed reporter who is assigned to get a story on Seattle's most eligible but unapproachable bachelor. Things go badly and Beth ends up in an impossible public bet. Parker thinks can make any woman fall in love with him in 28 days, he challenges Beth to be that women. At stake is an exclusive interview with him if he loses the bet. There is more than meets the eye to both Parker and Beth. The writer really makes you want to root for them both and see them have a happy ending aft [...]

    9. Training the Temp is fast-paced and fun. I really enjoyed the banter between Parker and Beth as they embarked on a 28-day bet, the culmination of which was to be an exclusive interview if she won and marriage to Parker if she lost. The zing between Parker and Beth is apparent throughout the book though it's equally clear that they're hiding secrets and of course it's those secrets that keep throwing the spanner in the works as their relationship develops. Add a particularly unpleasant and persist [...]

    10. Beth is a jouralist trying to get an interview with Parker Stephenson, wealthy real estate guy who is also drop dead good looking and does not give interviews. Interesting read with interesting characters and to spice up the plot an interesting challenge and a hot little love story that hits a snag. I was given an ARC of the book in exchange for my honest review.

    11. Arrogant rich man and stubborn journalist. Quite the combination. This was an interesting book. I really liked the chemistry between Beth and Parker. They both have pasts that they wanted to keep in the past. Honesty always wins out though. This story really grabbed me and held my attention. I wanted to see who would win the bet at the end.

    13. I loved everything about this book. Parker and Beth have loads of chemistry that is impossible to resist. Melinda DiLorenzo writes a great story which at times made me laugh out loud. This is my first book to read of hers. I will definitely read anything she writes!

    14. There were a few misspelling. There were scenes not' synced'. Like one sec here and then there but? (if that makes sense). I didn't buy the plot because this seems like the chick lit category but I wanted to give it a try because Chick-lit are always funy. Sadly this wasn't. Couldn't relate to the characters. The writing was so descriptive, over the top I'd say.

    15. Sexy funny storyAn amazing cast of characters blended into a heart warming story of arrogance and humility andLove and respect. a well written romantic comedy at its finest. Rick Holt eqkid@aol

    18. Training the Temp by Melinda Di LorenzoPart-time journalist Beth Styles has been assigned the terrible task of reporting on one of Seattle’s most eligible bachelors. All she has to do is get in, get the story, and get out. Everything is going fine, until she opens her big mouth and challenges the man of the hour to a bet. 19. This was a great book. It made you laugh and them made you cry. The way the book was written it made you feel like you were part of the story. The characters seemed so real and you felt what they felt. Beth Styles was trying to prove herself as a writer but she had no formal training. She had to go do an interview about a rich man who made a stupid statement about being able to train a woman to fall in love with him. Beth is talking about him to a man in the crowd who as it turns out is Parker S [...]

    20. Wow, let me start with the biggest dislike of this book that I have is the title. It just doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t really describe the book or, in my opinion, touch on what the book says. However that is pretty much the one thing that I’m not a fan of. The hero, Parker, really does steal the show and with the final revelations make him so much of a tortured soul that he seems so real. The writing is amazing, the plot moves swiftly without missing things or making it seem jumpy. It i [...]

When he offers her an exclusive interview in exchange for her winning the challenge. on. Sometimes it takes another damaged soul to help you heal and open your heart to new possibilities. 23. ★★★½ I have read quite a few engagement of convenience type of stories in the last year. This one was somewhere in the middle, definitely not bad, but it didn't stand out neither. It's a good and well written book, but I have probably read to many similar stories lately and some other reader will probably love it. 25. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When Beth styles goes to do an article about Parker Stephenson her mouth gets her in trouble. Now she has a bet going with him and her heart is on the fence. She is spunky and doesn't let him get away with anything until he lets her in and she sees a different side of him. This was a fun book and based on the cover and the title it was not what I expected. It is a great book to read on any day especially when you need pick me up.

    26. Loved this story! Beth and Parker have strong chemistry and that, along with their verbal sparring kept me glued to the pages. Parker initially comes across as arrogant and chauvinistic with his boasting that he could train any woman to be a good wife, but we soon see that he has a soft side and he is almost endearing in his pursuit of Beth. There were several parts that had me chuckling aloud. A great book all around and definitely a must-read.

    27. I really enjoyed this story, heck I loved it! I am still laughing and shaking my head! From the first time that Beth met Parker. To all the moments they spent together, until the very end of the story. I enjoyed every emotional, hilarious, sexy part of this book and then some.I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

    28. Training the Temp by Melinda Di Lorenzo made me smile. It was a funny plot, but it works. We have heard about it before, but it's well written with a good setting a great characters and the story has a nice flow that makes it a good read. I enjoyed reading this romance story.
