    1. Claimed by the Cowboy is the third book in the Dynasties: The Newports series, written by different authors but all centered on the Newport and Winchester families, and their friends. In this story, old high school friends Lucinda and Josh meet up again. Lucinda is an accomplished doctor specializing in cancer care, and her prestigious elderly patient, Sutton Winchester, is the source of a family feud with the recent revelation of Carson Newport being his biological son (to the dismay of his thr [...]

    2. 3 starsI think my biggest disappointment with this read was how money was used to solve the couple's problems. Lucy is a doctor, and it's her life goal to save her cancer patients. This comes first in her life, even before her happiness. Josh hates Chicago, but he's promised to help his buddies with their problem, so he's back in town, leaving behind his beloved Iowa. The Newport's problem is Lucy's terminally ill patient, whose family waves around million dollar donations to convince Lucy to re [...]

    3. Flirtatious! Enchanting!! Irresistible!!!Claimed by the Cowboy, written by Sarah M. Anderson for the Desire line published by Harlequin Romance is part of the Dynasties series featuring The Newports. I am a sucker for second chance romances and this delightfully fast-paced read did not disappoint. It featured straight laced Dr. Lucinda Wilde who was happily married to her job as a cancer specialist in Chicago. That was until Josh Calhoun sauntered into the hospital lobby, anyway. After years of [...]

    4. I received this book for free through Giveaways. It is autographed. I don't remember the last time I read a Harlequin. I don't usually read steamy romance. The author happens to live in the same small city as my cousins, so I felt a sense of neighborliness. That feeling only expanded as I read. The settings, plots, and characters, all gave me a feeling of homecoming-- just like the author experienced writing it! I really enjoyed this book! This book will also satisfy the following 2016 Watauga [...]

    5. This is an emotional story as both Josh and Lucy deal with the loss of their former loves. Even though those losses are quite a while in the past, neither one has truly been able to move forward with their lives, and meeting each other unexpectedly brings old feelings to the surface and forces them to figure out how they are going to live their lives from now on.As they are learning to deal with their feelings for each other, mistakes are made on both sides. At times, you just want to slap both [...]

    6. I won this book through . Josh Calhoun goes to Chicago to help out 3 friends from college. He never expect to encounter Lucy Wilde from his high school days. Lucy is now Dr. Lucinda Wilde and not happy to see Josh. They have an embarrassing past and she does not want it repeated, but it is about to be even worse. Lucy cannot decide if Josh may care for her or is using her. She knows the hospital is using her to get a new unit from a wealthy patient. Lucy just wants to be loved for herself.

    7. Hard to like a book where the heroine is constantly being railroaded into doing the rich Newport and Westchesters' bidding with no apologies. Made the characters from the rest of the series come off like total a-holes.

    8. Nice story that helped simmer the conflict between the Newports and the Winchesters. It was nice to see that Dr Lucinda Wilde could get her own story. She is the oncologist that was handling the Sutton Winchesters case.
