    1. Dragon Legends: Return of the Darkening, Volume 2Written by: Ava RichardsonNarrated by: Tiffany WilliamsThis is another great book and continues the wonderful tale of these teen dragon riders. More battles, danger, suspense, and betrayal. Our heroes are getting more connected to their red dragon. Talking with their minds to the point they can sense what the dragon can sense. Someone has stolen the Memory Stone and using it to control people so the Darkness can come. Lots of battles, including dr [...]

    2. Dragon Legends is the enjoyable sequel to Dragon Trails which is fast paced and full of adventure. Like the first book I found it hard to tell how much time had passed. Also it was annoying how both Thea and Seb are both special and the chosen ones.Seb s protective and very likeable but is also more cautious in this book; he is also helpful and generous. Thea I felt was all over the place in this book and had lots of mood swings, but she was always loyal even though she struggling with both side [...]

    3. A very second book. Seb and his protector Lady Thea Flamma, ride the sky's to defend Torvald and the academy against the Darkening.

    4. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.I read this without having read book 1, and for the most part it made sense. It was easy to follow and a pretty good read. I think it kinda suffered the fate of all second books in trilogies - finishing up book 1's plot and setting up book 3's plot. For some parts I did struggle to differentiate between Seb and Thea's chapters, but that could have been improved by two separate narrators, rather than j [...]

    5. I enjoyed the second book more than the first! I thought there was more development of the characters and more to define them as unique. I loved the back story development and I really got pulled into the drama. I think Thea is far less annoying now, although she still has her moments. It is also frustrating how inept others besides the protagonist seem to be, yet I believe most of the ramifications of this are appropriately grand, not just a watered down version with drama and real effects. I c [...]

    6. Things got pretty exciting in volume 2, what with invasions, magic dragon "eggs", balls, and villains. The two protagonists are getting a little more grownup, although Thea can still be a little annoying.Once again, this should be 4 1/2 stars - not quite a 5 but really better than a 4. I can see I will have to buy volume 3 of this series to find out what else is going to happen!Reading again in prep for #3 which I finally received. This time I'm not enjoying it quite as much as I did the first t [...]

    7. This is a fun book to read. There are two main characters and the book switches between the two. The storyline is thought out and moves at a good pace. This is also a dragon lovers series. Plenty of dragons and battles for them. Thea and Seb are the two main characters and you are able to see them mature and get stronger through this book. I highly recommend this series. Great Reading Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    8. As said a great in the story of dragon ridersThis story is a very enjoyable sequel to the first building on this enjoyable tale . if you enjoyed reading Dragons of Perm by Ann McCaffrey you will like this tale, a great combination of dragon and magic which draws you into the story.

    9. Well here I go again waiting for book 3This was a good book , the characters were really good and the storyline was great kept me interested the whole way through the book can't wait for book 3 so I begin again

    10. Great seriesI love this series at first I wasn't sure but I think it's a great series. I'm about to start the third book which I believe is the conclusion of the series so I'm hoping for a continuation or another series.

    11. Very Good Story & CharactersI really liked all 3 installments. I loved that the characters including the dragons have definite & distinct personalities.I am looking forward to the next installment.

    12. What an interesting read. The switch between the female and male main characters is great. Cannot wait for the 3rd book. I am sure it will be awesome.

    13. Enjoyable It was a well written book with good plot. The ideas behind the book were unique and captivating. All in all well written

    14. I continue to feel very meh about this series. Still not a big fan of any of the main characters and the plot is still pretty generic. I was surprised by (view spoiler)[some of the deaths in the book, especially the death of Jodreth, the Commander's brother who also has some magical powers. I thought he would play a big part in the resistance given how his presence was built up in the first book after all of Seb's encounters with him, but he died so suddenly in the dragon attack. Also the Memory [...]

    15. Through Devastation Hope ArisesThe world has crumbled, friends have died. But tomorrow a new light will shine to bring the Dragon rides new hope. A new king, and new threats to deal with. Sbe and Thea have had to deal with problem of the Darkening alone or just about so. See how they handle it.

    16. They just keep getting betterI can't wait to read book 3! The action, the emotion I found myself almost to tears so many times because these are written so well that I feel so connected to the characters and what's going on. Who knows? Maybe I have the dragon affinity ;)

    17. Great!Have enjoyed this book as much as the first can’t wait for the third. Great for young adults and even kids no sex no profanity.

    18. Good read for anyone liking dragons & adventure.Good story line, encouraging everyone to be the best that they can be! Also, sometimes being more than I really are.

    19. Original Review HereI had doubts about Dragon Trials, but was intrigued about the story development. It had potential and I wanted to see if the next book lived up to it.I enjoyed Dragon Legends more than the first book! The character development throughout the first book pays off in the second!Seb and Thea now work together as Dragon Riders, accomplished and skilled warriors and navigators charged with protecting the kingdom. Seb is worried about Thea: she did die, even if she is refusing to ta [...]

    20. Good stuffWhile the book has derivative elements, the things that are different from other fantasy novels are absolutely cool enough to put way the kitschy bits. I like the characters and the switching up of gender roles. Good fun read.

    21. WHAT IT'S ABOUTEver since scruffy Sebastian Smith and Lady Thea Flamma were paired as Dragon Riders, their lives have been forever changed. The unlikely duo forged an unbreakable bond, but now with dark stirrings in the south their bond will be put to the ultimate test. Seb discovers Lord Vincent has returned and he wants to unleash an ancient evil that will destroy the lives of everyone in the kingdom – The Darkening. In order to defend the realm against unspeakable foes, Seb, Thea, and their [...]

    22. It shouldn't surprise me how easy it is to tell how much work and time an author put into a book. The first book in this series felt like she took a lot of time with it, carefully considered all the sentences and wording, had multiple people editing (beta reading) it for her. This book felt nothing like that. Often times the wording was redundant (not an actual quote, but like "Happily she went to do it happily") and there was actual editing left in the text (quote: "We headed to the circle of c [...]

    23. A Great Dragon and Magic Adventure. As my husband pointed out to me, while we were reading this book together, I can't remember ever reading a book that was written in the First Person by two different characters in a book, unless it was a collection of short stories, but Ms. Richardson does so in this series of Dragon Rider books, and she pulls it off quite well. Although I do have to say, it does keep the reader on his or her toes, because at the beginning of every chapter, the person telling t [...]

    24. Loved it!!!Really looking forward to book 3. This book was well written and made me want more from Seb and Kalax. At times when Thea was doing whatever she was doing I was wondering I wonder where Seb is and what he doing. The connection between the three grows stronger and character develops more. I would love to be a dragon to fly through skies and not have to worry to only eat, sleep and play. Also to be with those I love and protect them from harm. You will love book 2 give it a try.

    25. I plunged right into this one after finishing Book One. I'm really liking the story of Seb and Thea and their quest to save the world. While a fairly common Young Adult trope, in which the teens save the world, Ms. Richardson has written a well rounded and fairly complex world, where we don't really know who the bad guys are. We know they are there, but we are as clueless as the characters. I recommend this one for the YA market and anyone else who enjoys this sort of story. I know that I will b [...]

    26. Dragons!! What more must be said of a book! Of course, I guess I should add that as a whole I truly enjoyed the characters, writing, and setting, but the dragons were just stellar. The dual dragon riders was different, though I felt it worked well and the pair were the perfect combination in partners. Definitely read the series in order since in the second you may be a little lost without the history of the first. Looking forward to the next one!!
