    1. When the perfect present isn't what you thought you wanted.Sweet holiday story, one I would have treasured as a child!

    2. A cute little story about how Santa seems to get it wrong for tiny Clementine but actually he gets it right in an unexpected way.Written and illustrated by Harriet Muncaster. Published by G. P. Putnam Sons.#PB #Holiday

Finally her family is able to get the message across and Santa leaves her the perfect gift. The premise of this book and the look of the illustrations really made me want to love it, but I just could not. The pictures are cute, the color scheme is right on point, but the story is lacking. 5. Clementine is about the size of a matchbox but Santa doesn't know that! He keeps getting her presents that are WAY too big for her. She comes up with several ways to tell him that's she small but each year he doesn't seem to get it.Simple story. Not objectionable in any way but just sort of boring. The illustrations are cute and I'm sure it'll circulate with the rest of the Christmas schlock.

    6. Clementine is just an ordinary girl except for one thinge's tiny! Like Thumbelina size. Each Christmas she receives wonderful gifts from Santa, but they are huge! She asks Santa for something just her size and is pleasantly surprised when he leaves a dollhouse under the tree!•I loved this book! What a fun story! I wracked my brain trying to figure out what the perfect gift could be before I go to the end. Santa definitely hit the nail on the head with that dollhouse!

    7. I thought this book was really sweet - even if I did wonder why an all-knowing Santa Claus would *not* know about Clementine's size! But I liked her optimism, and the fact that she was still able to have fun and enjoy her too-big presents. The ending was great, too - it's just too bad it took three years for Santa to catch on!!

    8. This one reminded me a little bit of The Borrowers and Stuart Little, both childhood favorites of mine. Clementine is a tiny little girl who's gifts from Santa are always too big, and she tries for many years to let him know, only to find out sometimes the best gifts do indeed come from big packages. The illustrations are wonderful and it's a fun one to read aloud.

    9. A very tiny little girl keeps getting presents from Santa that are too big. Will she ever be able to tell Santa she needs a tiny present? Cute and I liked the message that she did enjoy every present. Toddler and up.

    10. Clementine is small, very small. But Santa doesn't know how tiny she is and brings her gifts that are too big. Then one year he brings her the biggest gift of all a giant dollhouse just perfect for Clementine!

    11. Clementine is very tiny, but lives with a normal-sized family. Unfortunately, Santa hasn't gotten the message and leaves Clementine normal-sized things each year. She and her family work to leave Santa a message, but it takes 3 tries before Santa leaves her the perfect present.

    12. My almost five year old doesn't normally want to do repeat reads. This one, however, made it back into the night time reading mix three different times!
