    1. "This is the third book that takes the reader to the fictional small Texas town of Rosewood and it's an excellent portrayal of a single parent trying to make a new life for herself and her children. Laura is determined to learn the ins and outs of flipping houses; however, reading this book in 2009, after the great housing bubble burst, it's hard to feel sympathy for realtors or real estate agents or even mortgage brokers. Anyhow, Laura is left with little funding of her own after her verbally a [...]

    2. I took a trip to Rosewood, Texas with new widow, Laura Manning. Laura finds herself in a dreadful position of still being controlled by her abusive husband from the grave. In order to seek freedom for herself and her two children, Laura travels to Rosewood to learn her deceased husband's business.Laura just wants to find herself and provide for her family. Laura's husband left all control to his business partner, Paul Russell. Paul is confused by a widow who doesn't seem to mourn her husbands pa [...]

    3. Very nice story about a mother recovering from the death of her abusive husband, who moves her children from the big city to a small town to start over. Her children are hurting from the loss of their dad and need to be surrounded with friends and loving people. She rediscovers her faith and the importance of family as she is welcomed with open arms. As she begins to heal, she finds new strength, a job she loves and a love she never thought she'd feel again. A great read!

    4. This book was really cute. I almost didn't read because books with the same kind of premise are usually not my cup of tea but I am glad I did. I liked the transformation from Paul believing that Laura was incompetent to both raise her children and help with the business to him realizing that she is very competent at both. I also appreciated that their romance was not a whirlwind but that the characters got to know each other over a good period of time before there really was a romance.

    5. This was my first Love Inspiried book. My young teen wants to read adult romances, but I'm not interested in supplying her with any bodice-rippers. This was a nice romantic love story with believable characters but no heaving bosom/throbbing manhood stuff. In fact, a very acceptable relationship. She can have these.

    6. Laura Manning's husband Jerry left her with an executor for the estate and the children but nothing for her. Paul was his business partner and now in charge of everything in their lives. Could Laura deal with control going from Jerry to Paul?

    7. Loved it- real life situations and kept me wanting to read it. Love the type of family portrayed in the story.
