    1. This book came over my email as a RITA award winner so I thought I'd give it a try. It's got several of my favorite tropes: grumpy ex military mercenary and running through the jungle. It delivered in a very nice way. It was action packed, the plot made sense and flowed really well. The attraction between the two main characters was believable and pretty hot. The local of the story was well described and rich and full. There was jungle but there was also bits in towns with a mixture of people, g [...]

    2. Dana Martin gives us a dark and vengeful hero in this latest in the Civilian Personnel Recovery Unit series.I didnt quite know what to make of Light Walker when we first meet him. He is one angry dude out to avenge the death of his younger brother. He left the SEALs and is now a mercenary for hire who doesnt think twice about killing. Clara Roberts typically found and retrieved US citizens and got them back home whether alive or dead. She's about to take a leave from her job to go and help her f [...]

    3. Review posted on Got FictionI saw this book tweeted out as a deal the other day, so I went to check it out. The excerpt hooked me. I bought it, and read it, and it’s good. But…***Small Spoilers Ahead***I didn’t like the hero too much. He was redeemed, but with his personality, I think it would be very VERY hard for him to accept a desk job. It really seems like it would be torture. The heroine. Okay, I liked her to a point. She’s all no-nonsense and spreadsheets and intelligence and I lik [...]

    4. Flash Fire by Dana Marton is a 2015 publication. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. “What anger wants, it buys at the price of soul” - HeraclitusDOD agent Clara Roberts is in Mexico working on an ‘off the books’ missing persons case and has been told to expect help from Light Walker, only to find the man is a mercenary with no loyalties to any one side, and that their agendas are in direct opposition. Light will do whatever it takes to scare Clara off so he [...]

    5. I was not sure if I was going to like this but I was in the mood for a book with some testosterone inspired action with a touch of romance and this fit that description perfectly.Walker and Clara were going to make a great couple if they did not kill each other first, not for the lack of trying.Action starts almost on the first page, she gets a call and sets off on a mission and Walker shows up and all order goes to Hades ( gets touchy if I use that other word)So we set off in this 283 page nove [...]

    6. Clara Roberts is in Mexico doing a recovery of a missing US Citizen. While there, her father, a General in charge of the DOD division for which she works, calls her and asks her to find another missing person - a 17 year old girl with which he has a personal connection. Clara just wants to get home to be with her father when goes in for his first chemo treatment, but due to the sensitivity of the request, she grudgingly agrees. She heads to the town where the girl was last seen to meet up with h [...]

    7. I just love this series Ms. Marton spins another outstanding read of danger, action, thrills, heartbreak, mystery in this fast pace action thriller. She takes us back to the jungle where Clara is ending her assignment only to get a call from a love one with a heartbreaking tale that will break her heart. She takes on this assignment out of love to the two most important people in her life. She isn't happy about it but love makes you do many things you do not want to. To top that off she has to w [...]

    8. An awesome, action-riddled, romantic thriller set against Mexico's seamy drug cartel underworld. “Nothing woke up a man as quickly in the morning as a scorpion in his pants.”FLASH FIRE by Dana Marton is quite simply an awesome, action-riddled, romantic thriller. I originally fell in love with this author with her Broslin Creek romantic suspense series, so when I saw that she had a new book out, I knew I had to read it.; I was not disappointed in the least! This book is an adrenaline rush fr [...]

    9. More like 4.5/5What's not to like about this book ? It's got the perfect amount of adrenaline, suspense and romance. The half point I retain is because I would have liked a little more sexy moments between Clara and Walker =)

    10. Awesome!!Excellent romantic suspense! It was exciting and sexy, filled with intrigue and hear-pounding twists and turns. I loved getting to know Walker & Clara's story! I highly recommend this book to anyone that's a fan of sexy romantic suspense! You won't regret it!!

    11. While I know 5 stars is for reserved for "great literature" and this isn't, it was a terrific read! As far as I am concerned, the book was an engaging adventure. It was an over-the-top dash through the jungle of southern Mexico. It kept rolling with superhuman acts of blood and guts by a messed up mega-alpha man, and a smart, tough female who were excellently matched. With a HEA, I couldn't have enjoyed it more.

    12. Flash FireThis is a standalone book that is not a cliffhanger. Clara was asked to investigate the disappearance of a missing girl. Clara's dad, the General, sets up help for her in the form of Light Walker. Light is in the middle of avenging his brothers death when he meets Clara and his world changes. Will Light and Clara get their HEA or will the cartel win?

    13. DNF. God, I couldn't take one more line about how they were such opposites and not suited but attracted. The whole first 30% of the book was all blah blah not my type blah blah well, he/she's kind of hot. Gag and blow my brains out.

    14. Loved this book. If you like romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat while you root for the hero and heroine (who is smart!) then this is the book for you.

    15. Flash Fire reviewFlash Fire is an exciting romantic suspense adventure book written by author Dana Marton. It has a great storyline and interesting characters.

    17. Flash Fire is a fabulous story packed with heart stopping suspense, blood pumping action with the perfect amount of mystery and romance that kept me flipping those pages just as fast as I possible could. Clara Roberts is on a mission for the Civilian Personnel Recovery unit when she receives a call for another mission in a dangerous area. She accepts the mission with a few reservations and some really mixed up feelings.Light Walker has suffered major losses in his life. He's been trained to take [...]

    18. Dana Marton is new to me, but when the description likened her to my favorite, Linda Howard, I knew I had to take a chance. This was a great story—it started hot and kept up the pace through the end. Check out this opening line: "Nothing work up a man as quickly in the morning as a scorpion in his pants."Right? As a child of the 80s, I love any story set in the jungle. It’s so Schwarzenegger. Marton spins a tale of interrupted revenge that leaves the reader hanging by a thin wire. Will Light [...]

    19. In my opinion, this is the best Dana Marton romantic suspense yet. It's no wonder that it's a 2016 RITA Award Winner. As the second book in the Civilian Personnel Recovery Unit, it is also a great standalone with an HEA. I absolutely loved it, as I did book one, and can't wait for the next book in the series. Light Walker is a man obsessed. A former Navy SEAL, he now works as a mercenary in Mexico, with a long game of finding and killing the man who murdered his younger brother, Ben. The DOD did [...]

    20. Loved it.lot of actionClara Roberts is a DOA investigator, and always follows the rules. When a girl goes missing she is asked my her father for a favor. It's so not what she expects. 21. Beware of a Flash Fire, it might be hotter than you thinkClara is an DOD investigator who tracks down missing US citizens and returns them home one way or the other. But on a trip to Mexico City to retrieve remains, she meets Walker who has his own agenda, tracking down the "No nose" drug lord and his brothers remains. 22. Flash Fire continues in the world begun in Forced Disappearance, following the activities of a small Government department sending investigators around the globe to rescue missing US citizens, or to retrieve their bodies. Clara Roberts, a by-the-book investigator, is winding up a successful mission in Mexico, when the head of her department, her father, asks her to search for a missing teenager. This mission however, is different, it is a personal request not an official request from her father, [...]

    23. Well done Dana Marton, yet another fantastic story. After thoroughly enjoying Forced I was more than happy to get my hands on Flash Fire and I am very pleased to say I have not been disappointed. The book is loosely set in the same world as Forced in that Clara also works for the same department as our previous heroine. Sent to Mexico by her boss and father to find a missing young girl she has to partner with a very reluctant Light Walker. Clara firstly comes across as very black and white, a bit [...]

    24. Dana Marton is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. I know when I pick up one of her books that I'm about to be treated to a compelling, fast-paced story that will keep my heart in my throat and my nerves on edge. Clara Roberts, the heroine of FLASH FIRE is a character I cheered for from beginning to end. A buttoned-up former accountant now working to retrieve American citizens lost, kidnapped, or imprisoned abroad, her world is turned upside down with a single phone call that sends her [...]

Clara Roberts is a DOD investigator who works at locating missing American citizens in foreign locations and returning them or their remains back to the United States. When her father, head of her department, asks her to locate a missing teen in Mexico and keep the investigation confidential, he also arranges for her to meet with Walker to facil [...]

    26. A thrilling, spine-tingling, romantic adventure!Dana Marton writes the best kind of romantic suspense.
