    1. Christmas story that seeks to be in the style of Downton Abbey. I had just finished another Christmas book by this author and thought I'd give this a try. Unfortunately, I think the author failed in pulling this off. I don't think that she had a good understanding of how things were done in that era. There was far too much mixing of the classes, and the dialog was much too modern.

    2. I am not usually one for Historical books but as this was a short story and Christmasy i thought i would give it a go. I was pleasently surprised and found myself quiet enjoying reading about Annabel Crawford and the family's unexpected guest at Christmas Viscount Lassiter. 3. I don't know if I've ever read a romance set in this time period (1925). This was actually two romances in one, though the second was not as developed, which worked fine in the context of the story. Very cozy read for the holiday season.

    4. Good read romanticQuick read nice romance took me a day to read in hospital an escape read enjoyed it and would read more

    5. A short, sweet little seasonal romance set in 1925. The characters are endearing and I liked how the author used the below stairs characters as well as the upper class characters.
