    2. 2.5 clichéd starsFor the most this was a good read. But here are my issues -When they finally got to the sex it was rushed through. In out in out shake it all about. Groan. Roll over. Cuddle. Snore.Everything was just all rainbows and fairies and got boring. It just needed MORE. Whether that was more drama or more sex. The boss/employee angle could have been played on more, or the issue with saving her Mum's building. I'm not sure, but it left me feeling flat.Sometimes NICE just isn't good enou [...]

    3. ***ARC provided by Entangled Publishing for an honest review***Blurring the Lines was a good book. I love reading books were there are rules set and you know that there is a good possibility of those said rules being broken. But it's fun watching them try to stick to the rules. Blake and Kira's first meeting with the dogs was cute. You could already see Blake's interest in Kira. He was even still thinking about her when he left without getting her number. So was Kira, but then she knew who he wa [...]

    4. Blake Whitman is in desperate need of a secretary after loosing the last several he's hired. Kira Layton takes a chance to save the aging community and accepts the role of his secretary, under the pretense that there is no sexual attraction between them. However, the rules are getting a bit fuzzy and as Kira brings her furry friends to work and works harder than any secretary he's ever had, Blake's starting to think office romances aren't such a bad idea.I would love to give more of a summary th [...]

    5. I can't even express how excited I am that I read this book. It's from an author that I'd not yet read and it is a great example of a very well done romance novel. These days, finding a good romance that doesn't make me roll my eyes has been a bit hard to find. Is it because I've read too many and my expectations are ridiculous or maybe I've become jaded in my old age of 35 (this was the scary age that I was always worried about when I was younger), I don't know but something has just been off f [...]

    6. ***Review can also be found at Jackie's Book World. :)***Blurring the Lines was such a great romantic story between two individuals whose paths perfectly crossed when they least expected it and it soon changes their lives forever.Right at the beginning of the story we get to meet Kira Layton, an animal lover who is also determined to get what she wants no matter what. When she gets news that someone is going to ruin the community that is dear to her heart, she is set to change the stranger's min [...]

    7. I read this book in 1 sitting. I was pulled in from the beginning, i fell in love with the characters as well as the plot. The connection between Blake and Kira was amazing and because Blake has his rules set he fights his attraction tooth and nail. With Blake in need of a secretary and Kira showing up in his office shortly after his other one quit he offers her the job. At first they play the game of not being attracted to one another and work very well with one another. But what happens when th [...]

    8. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley from Entangled Publishing for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book! It was a nice and relaxing read with just the right amount of drama to take my mind off my day and not give me book anxiety. There's nothing more satisfying than an overly confident man who is resistant to love being brought to his knees. Hearing Blake's point of view was an added bonus. I liked how the side characters (Keith - brother, and Tish - friend), were involved in [...]

    9. Blurring the lines is such an adorable story. Blake Whitman, is a CEO with a heart of gold. Kira Layton, is a woman on a mission and Blake is the key to achieving her target. Though Blake has sworn never to get involved with the people he works with, he is unable to resist Kira. But he is used to doing things in a certain way and that causes misunderstandings. He may have broken his own rules for Kira but he could end up breaking her heart tooC provided in exchange for an honest review.

    10. 4 starsBlurring the Lines was a fun and enjoyable read.I loved watching Blake and Kira get together, their relationship developed over time and didn't feel rush. Both are passionate people who had amazing chemistry together. I'm really enjoying Marisa Cleveland's writing, she gives her readers enjoyable storylines with great characters that you can relate to, I highly recommend this book.Thank you Entangled Indulgence via Netgalley for the advance copy.

    11. Didn't finish after page 14. This has the most cliche beginning I have ever read in a book. And I have read a lot of cheesy romance so that's saying something. The two love interests run into each other, literally and she lands on top of him. And here is the next line from the book, 'he inhaled her, all fresh and womanly' hahaha! then, as she scoots to get off of him, she looks down at his crotch area and grins. W-o-w!! This is being monologued by him, mind you. Not her. He is watching her grin [...]

    12. Given an ARC for voluntary review for netgalley. Cute short love story. You have Blake a workaholic CEO who continuously loses his secretaries, one because he over works them, and two because some of them tend to hit on him. He meets Kira, as she is walking her foster dogs and she goes to confront him because he wants to build a waterfront in the building her mothers legacy is at, and she wants to save the building. They end up making a deal that she will work for him and he will try and save he [...]

    13. The moment that he took in a dog that had been hurt into his home I knew that he was changing and sooner or later he would end up falling in love with his new secretary. This was a very nice read that I enjoyed. It was refreshing and a read that I was able to read in one sitting. This is about two people that end up bumping into each other and it was the instant chemistry and a wish her mother had that had them working together. Blake Whitman is your typical CEO workaholic but it seems that he c [...]

    14. Blurring the Lines was a read I picked off randomly from Netgalley. I didn't have many expectations from the book but to my surprise I ended up really enjoying Blurring the Lines. Blurring the Lines, is a book based on the zodiac sign Aquarius which gave a little something more to the book. I really liked the main characters, Blake and Kira which was why I enjoyed reading their story.Let's start with Blake. Blake Whitman is a real estate development CEO. He is an out and out workaholic who doesn [...]

    15. *ARC received through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*3.5 starsLight Spoilers!!!!!!The Good: I adored the characters. Each had their own unique voice and personality. Kira, a pretty, feisty woman on a mission, is trying to save downtown, wanting to preserve the history, especially the building her family owns. She grew up in it, and her mother passed away there--she's not ready to let go. Blake is a real estate development CEO, often giving to charities, who can't seem to keep a secre [...]

    16. I read this novel as part of the Men of the Zodiac box set but I will be trying to review each novel individually. The premise of the series is that each man has, for one reason or another, got a tattoo from a mysterious tattoo artist of his astrological sign. No matter that most men don't know their star sign and would probably struggle to know what image represents their sign even if they did! Blake Whitman is young property developer. His profit is everything and hard work ethic make him an un [...]

    17. Blake Whitman has made his business successful by following the rules, and never straying from the straight and narrow. He lives for his work, and spends day and night dedicated to ensuring that he is always two steps ahead of everyone else. He also believes that office romances should never come into play, and that business and pleasure should never find themselves in the same room that is until a certain new secretary catches his eye and has him considering breaking one of his cardinal rules.K [...]

    18. Great story about a CEO named Blake Whitman who is into Real estate development. Kira goes to see Blake in hopes to get him to help her stop the development of a building and to get it declared as historical landmark-when she gets there she learns he needs a secretary and she does not tell him her real reason for being there and steps him to pretend she is the new secretary. She is hired on the spot, with conditions -- that she'll stay on for a year and doesn't desire to sleep with him. Well, th [...]

    19. 3.5 stars. In general, I have to say, I really enjoyed reading this one. However, even though it had a great start, I felt there was something missing by the end of the story. We have Blake and Kira working together after a few misunderstandings and Kira’s love for charitable causes.I loved that both Kira and Blake were into charitable causes and not just donate money and call it a day. In different ways, they both walked the walk, guys. They were great together and not just because of this, but [...]

    20. I have received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled Publishing for an honest review. "Blurring the Lines" by Marisa Cleveland is book 11 in the "Men of the Zodiac" series. They each can be read as a standalone. This is CEO Blake Whitman and Kira Layton's story.Blake is all about business and has all these rules that he follows. Kira is all about community service and preserving community history. Blake and Kira end up on opposite sides of an issue. Blake decides that he wants Kira to wo [...]

    21. Sweet, fun and fast paced. Blake and Kira meet during a unique encounter. Kira's very involved in a local shelter, with rescue dogs and fostering them. The dogs are a big part of the story and enhance the eventual bond between Kira and Blake. Their next meeting doesn't go according to plan for either of them. She storms into his office to give him a piece of his mind, and he ends up offering her a job. There is attraction, but neither are willing to admit it or act on it. They worked really well [...]

    22. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest reviewInteresting, heart-felt, and endearing. Blake Whitman is a workaholic of the worst short and he expects his staff to be at his beck and call but not fall for his charms while doing it. He has lost numerous secretaries due to his breaking load of hours expected. When is last one walks he is floored. Kira is a woman of many talents but a loss of how to use them so she spends her days trying to save her community and her mother's building. The build [...]

    23. Loved this book! Kira a woman who was on a mission to save her mother's building before developer Blake Whitman is wanted to destroy it with some modern day vision of his. When the two meet with some help from some four legged friends the idea comes to Kira to confront Blake about his plans and make him stop. When she goes to his office to do that she never expects a job offer to be his secertary and when Kira see's the advantages of being on the inside of the development its a no brainer. Blake [...]

    24. Fantastic, outstanding, a great read…. I could go on and on. This is the first book I have read by Marisa Cleveland, and I have to say after reading this fabulous book, I will absolutely be reading more from her.I love the way Ms. Cleveland tells the story of Kira and Blake. As you read, you get to know her characters, and what they are feeling, and going thru. You see the way Blake turns from a workaholic, to a wonderful caring man with Kira’s help.I am not going to give a synopsis of the s [...]

    25. Blurring the Lines by Marisa Cleveland is Book 11of the Men of the Zodiac Series. Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I was in no way confused or lost by the fact that I had not read any of the other books in this series. While Blurring the Lines is a quick read, it is in no way incomplete. This is my first time reading Ms. Cleveland’s work and I have enjoyed every second of this story. From the very first page, you are sucked into this wonderful story that i [...]

    26. Blake is a business man who works hard and doesn't really play all that well. Sure he has fun, but it's with women who lack a brain to put it nicely. When he is tripped, literally by Kira his world is about to be flipped upside down. He needs a secretary and she needs his help to keep her family building from being torn down. Nothing can go wrong. Kira is smart. She has a lot hidden behind her good hearted front that not many people see. Her past is just that her past except for the need to keep [...]

    27. Blake had the reputation of being a player outside the office, a strict rules follower in the office, but underneath it all was a heart of gold.Kira was a refreshing female lead. She was desperately trying to find her way. to do something meaningful with her life and career. I liked that she was smart, very well educated and not materialistic, and an animal lover.Blake and Kira complemented each other perfectly. She gave him balance. He gave her acceptance and support. I loved their professional [...]

    28. A nice read about resisting temptation or not! :)Blake Whitman, Real Estate Developer/CEO meets Kira Layton when she and a pack of dogs run into him on the street. He's quite taken with her and hopes he runs into her again.Kira is into helping a lot of causes. When she finds out who Blake is, she's interested in talking to him about saving a building that's about to be torn down to redevelop that meant a lot to her Mom over the years. Blake convinces her to become his Secretary in exchange for [...]

    29. Blake is CEO of a real estate development company and is very serious about his work. He has a strict "no dating a co-worker" policy at work, but he's having a hard time keeping that rule when he hires Kira as his secretary. I really enjoyed this one! I loved that their relationship wasn't the typical "insta-love" type. Kira had a fun personality but she also had smarts. I found myself surprised, right along with Kira, when we started to get to know Blake's personality and learned he was a great [...]
