    1. These poems explores how fragile we are. Time passes and we are particles in all the volition of existing. We are molecules, or simply waves, as already expressed by Virginia Wolf.

    2. I love being able to read Nightboat Press books because they are always so bizarre and vastly different from the type of poetry I usually read. This one is no exception, except for perhaps the fact that it's a little easier to hold on to than other collections I've read from this press. But I really love how we drift in this one, where we find one solid image and another and then it untethers all over again. I love it when poetry can do that.

    3. Land Sparing's verses were rather elusive. Sometimes a single line or perhaps two might allow me to connect to a poem for just a moment, but there were not enough of those moments for me to leave with a lasting impression.
