    1. As a lover of paranormal romance, I had high hopes for The Next Alpha. White is a new-to-me author and the premise of the story was interesting. Although I've read other paranormal dating type books, White's book focused less on the dating aspect and more on what happened as a result of that one day. The story was unique and contained a good amount of interesting elements. The story was well written in the "creating an interesting story" arena. However, the story struggled in the dialogue and wo [...]

    2. EntertainingI enjoyed the characters very much they could have been expanded some, but overall very good reading. Maybe a sequel with Nathan & Nika .

    3. First reviewed at Haunted BookshelfWow. I just turned the last page, so give me a second to gather up my thoughts because right now all I can think of is… Wow.From the cover description you might be lured into thinking that you are about to read a lighthearted romance. You never see this story coming from the description. Never. The Next Alpha is an intense, well thought out, deeply involved story of two people who come together for a first date — and nothing will ever be the same for them ag [...]

    4. Choppy and FlatNathan is a werewolf looking for a mate to better his odds of becoming the new alpha, and not just any mate, but a human one to show his people he understands the direction of interaction between humans and shifters. Nika is a human looking for a decent guy, and her roommate points her in the direction of a dating website. Little does she know it's a website for shifters (and the humans who are wise to the world of shifters). After their first date, Nika is attacked, and they beco [...]

    5. Jasmine White is an awesome writer. So one does not really have any qualms about how good her books are gonna be. "The Nest Alpha" is no exception. Nathan and his sister Clara are tying to make sure Nathan is the next Alpha for the pack as is their cousin Flores is trying to make sure her twin brother Dean is the next Alpha.Clara signs Nathan up fora paranormal dating agency as does Nika's gay room mate and friend James. They things start to heat up.Jasmine has you thinking that one person is tr [...]

    6. Learn your words before writing them. This book was just so bad. I quit reading it around 33% and then skipped around because it just kept getting worse. First the H have a gene-mutation that gives him and his sister silver hair making them seem more mature Great stick with that. Next chapter they have raven hair. Hmmm, curiouser and curiouser. Then the H is set to be Alpha. He is the wussiest alpha of them all. I have a stuffed teddy bear that is more alpha than this character. Finally, the word [...]

    7. Nathan and Nika don't expect much from their date. They were both pushed to the matchmaking website by others. Nika didn't even know it was for shifters to meet humans until she sees a wolf transformation on their date. She focuses on work and doesn't really date. Nathan is fighting to become alpha and a mate would help persuade some that he is the best choice. The first date goes in a direction neither could predict. It leads to danger and betrayal as well as love and belonging. It is a very we [...]

    8. Really goodThis was a good shifter book. I wish I could have given it a 5 but, I kept falling asleep. NO fault of the book. It was some medicine I was taking. So I kept falling asleep, and losing my place, then I kept not being able to find it, over, and over. So, it was frustrating. What I got of it was really good though.

    9. Surprisingly goodI didn't really think this would be as good as it was but since I've read others by Ms White I decided to try this one. Once I started reading this book I didn't put it down until I finished. It has a mystery included in this book rather then just a "shifter" romance. I liked this and would recommend it to readers.

    10. Skip it. It was choppy, flat, and awkward in every sense of the word. I'll give credit that I didn't see the twist coming- then again I didn't think the author would mention pubic hair no less than 15x in the course of the book. Really wanted to like her since she has her books on ku, but I will not be reading more from this author.

    11. She feels safeThis date has definitely taken her out of her comfort zone. Yet she wouldn't have it any other way. Till they figure out what is happening he'll have to keep her close. Great story would be checking out this author for other works.

    12. The next alphaWonderful , wonderful I loved this story it was a complete story and a loving one too. I loved the way it ended .Great book.

    13. Not too badThis story was well thought out and written. I didn't notice any obvious grammatical errors. The sex scenes, though, just felt emotionally flat. Still a good story.

    14. WinnerI love shifter books and the way Jasmine incorporates the human and animal sides is what makes it so believable. This story and characters is full of twists and turns.

    15. Love story at its bestI loved this book. It has everything a good story needs. Shifters or course, love, death, betrayal, friendship, and hot sex!
