    1. Set one year after the first book, Baccano! volume 2 once again opens with colour pages that only serves to confuse the reader. This book, is about the journey from Chicago to New York on "The Flying Pussycat" - a transcontinental train. The main characters of this book once again involve Isaac and Miria, who are going back to see Ennis, Firo and everyone else. Also on the train is another immortal - an old acquaintance of Maiza's, and a freelance killer known as Vino. On top of that, this train [...]

    2. Baccano #2 starts off around a year after the first Baccano left off, introducing new characters and organizations. The first couple of chapters are dedicated to introducing or reintroducing characters. Isaac and Miria are "reformed" costumed bandits who're coming back to reunite with their friends from the first book (and if you read the first book, you'll know they're also immortal) but not before they make a train robbery. Jacuzzi Splot is a young bootlegger with a gang of friends just trying [...]

    3. The best Baccano plot line in its original novel format. What more could I ask for?In classic Baccano style, this book in the series has little connection to the previous one. The bright side of this is that you can pick it up without having read anything else in the series! This book revolves around a 1931 luxury train, The Flying Pussyfoot, and the three different groups who plan on robbing it. First, there's the "Black Suits", on a mission to save their boss by holding the train's passengers h [...]

    4. This is my second time reading this book and I really like this book because it has an interesting plot. In this book three different groups plan to use a train to further their goals. One group called the Lemures plan to use the trains passengers as hostages so they can get their leader from police custody. They are mostly referred to as the black suits. Another group is the white suits who plan on murdering everybody on the train after they get money from the train company for hostages. The fi [...]

    5. I think almost every paragraph ends with something ridiculous happening. There is little to no downtime at all and any character development happens in the midst of gunfire and chaos. Can't wait for part 3!

    6. Baccano! 1931 Local Chapter - The Grand Punk RailroadThe second novel in the Baccano! series.Be careful in a life of crime, because sometimes it can last forever. Welcome aboard the transcontinental train, The Flying Pussyfoot, currently traveling from Chicago towards Manhattan. This volume has event more insanity than the first, but that's what Baccano! is about. Baccano means ruckas, racket, noise! Crazy, unexpected, and mysterious connections between characters, both new and old. There will b [...]

    7. I really like the anime based on this story, and I liked the setup here, but it got muddled and less interesting toward the end. (And it's totally only half over, although that makes sense considering the next book. Still, it feels so half-finished.)

    8. This is an incomplete book. It's starts introducing the characters, then showing what happens on the train, then ends with the train arriving. But Ryohgo Narita does something odd. Characters disappear midway through the vol, some are never introduced properly, and some things that happen aren't explained. Instead these will be revealed in the next vol which will show the train ride from the pov of the disappeared characters and unexplained situations. In some ways this vol feels like a side story [...]

    9. I love this more than the first volume because of the fast-paced and mysterious plot. Although it's quite heavily focusing on Jacuzzi and his delinquents gang (which aren't my favorite characters), I still enjoy it a lot, especially because of Isaac and Miria. This is one of my favorite dialogs between them:Isaac: "Let me see if I remember this right. A train robbery's when you take a train to the destination, do the robbery, and then run away on a train again, right?"Miria: "No doubt!"Crazy cou [...]

    10. The many prologues are freaking great, and the first half is really, really fun. My main problem with it is the fact that the entire book is basically set up for a lot of surprises in the next book, so a lot of the action feels disjointed. However, as a reader who knows all the plot twists and surprises in the next one, I'm very much looking forward to reading the next one because some of the tricks this book pulls are absolutely cruel!

    12. This book is pure madness. Not only there's a triple train robbery going on, but both an urban legend and a "magician" make their appearance as well. This book is worth reading even if you already watched the anime because there are many events that were either shortened, merely implied or completely left out of the anime. The writing is a bit simple (as expect of a light novel) but it still manages to describe accurately the actions performed by the characters.

    13. WOW. I can't wait to read more of this series. For my first light novel, this isn't really bad (just saying this is already an understatement)

    14. Amazing follow-up story. New and interesting characters. If I haven't seen the anime first, this book would've filled my head with mystery above mystery.

    15. Good stuff! I continue to enjoy the Baccano series. In another couple books I'll be passed the point covered by the anime, and from there on it'll be uncharted territoryI'm excited.

    16. 因为在为下一步埋伏笔,所以这部看上去的故事性不是很连贯。只交代清楚了黑衣人和杰古吉两方的命运。
