    1. Beautiful illustrations of nature, both graphical and written. Each vignette made me want to pack up and head out to the woods to try and experience the world as Muir did.

    2. I enjoyed this book. The little stories of animals are filled with warmth. I was sadden to read a couple of them such as the one titled Goose and Rattlesnake. These two stories described the death of an animal that would make you cry with empathy. The illustrations throughout the book are lovely.

    3. My stars are as much for the review as for the book. This is simple and filled with lovely observations. Makes me want to go on a little vacation away from the world. I love, love the illustrations.
