    1. I don't often read romantic suspense, but this book ticked a bunch of boxes for me. I haven't been in the Armed Services, but I know the author has, and thus the military/paramilitary stuff felt real and logical to me. I trusted that her terminology and gun facts were accurate, and there were no glaring errors to this civilian's eye. Some romantic suspense heroines are Too Stupid to Live, and some of the heroes are what the Smart Bitches call Alph-holes, but neither of those is the case here. The [...]

    2. Before I review this, let me answer the "why do you read such crap?" question. To be honest, books like these are highly entertaining. They have a paper-thin plot line, nausea-inducing characters, and terrible grammar. We all need our junk food, and this is it for my brain (no, really, I do the Hindu crossword every single day, and that is enough mental stimulation for me sometimes). Now that that's out of the way, let's get on with the review. This wasn't as terrible as the other ones I've read [...]

    3. August 2015 Prime borrow.“Relax, hacker girl. It’s me,” Jake said in her ear. She whirled in his arms and hugged him tight. He winced as she pressed down on his bruised ribs. She loosened her grip, but he tightened his arms around her before she could pull away. She snuggled into him and he pressed his lips to the top of her head, enjoying having her safe in his arms. “I’ve got you.” She mumbled something into his chest. “What’s that?” he asked. She lifted her head. “I didn [...]

    4. Great military style suspenseI had never read this author before, but decided to give this series a try since I could read it for free on kindle unlimited. I'm really happy I did, because I loved it. Both the premise and the characters were interesting and relatable. Jake was especially yummy, and I loved how he called Dani Hacker Girl. He saw right through her exterior to the woman she really was. Dani turned out to be a kick butt heroine who was not afraid to take care of herself. She and Jake [...]

    5. Overall Rating: 4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★There are some military operations that require more than normal channels to get the job done. What do you do when you need a covert operation to be handled under the table? You call E.D.G.E Security, an organization that is made up of the best of the best from governments all over the world. In Trish Loye’s first novel in her Edge Security Series we delve into a world of espionage and military missions that will keep the reader involved, waiting for [...]

    6. I liked parts of this one. The action and suspense plot was fast paced and entertaining. The whole top secret group that is E.D.G.E and all the bad ass side characters (I'm thinking of Rhys here btw) was all good ground work for the start of a series but the two main character, Jake and Dani, they just fell flat for me. To be honest, Jake was a pretty bad ass alpha hottie. I liked that he was always going that extra mile to show Dani he was the good guy, he would protect her and that he genuinel [...]

    7. OMG!!! What a hot, intense, I can’t believe book!! Uhmmm, I would love to have a hot Navy SEAL guy with gray eyes, and black hair guarding me from the front to back!!! Jake was definitely my kind of guy that I love to have him press me up against any wall to 'protect' me from the big bad guys of the world!!Okay that is enough of what I want… let’s get to the real story of Edge of Control! I still don’t know how Dani could be in control with Jake around! The two main characters were not o [...]

    8. This is a smart thriller with just enough edge to it to keep you on your toes. The characters are believable & well rounded with lots of hidden layers to them. It has a good, solid plot & plenty of suspense to keep it running along nicely. Jake & Dani's relationship sparks at their very first meeting, and gradually progresses with enough intensity & sexual chemistry to keep you rooting for them. I really liked them, they were both independent & powerful in their own right, an [...]

    9. WOW!!! What a great book.E. D.G.E. Security is a covert international organization that handles jobs most governments won’t. The operators are the elite of the elite, soldiers and spies, chosen for their skills and secrecy, and their ability to go beyond the edge. Jake (College) Harrison is a Navy SEAL that E.D.G.E. Wants to recruit, he’s skeptical of the good he can do as an E.D.G.E. operator. His trial assignment is a simple mission with the target being the Russian mob. The only interesti [...]

    10. I needed a book like this in between my other books because this was such an amazing book and it made me discover a brand new author to me that just made me read it in one go. I couldn't get enough of the story and the characters. It was simply amazing and I loved it. No reasons not to love this book if you love suspense with romance. I can't wait to read others of this author because this is my favorite genre and it's definitely one of the authors I look forward to reading more.

    11. 3.5 RATING- Picked this up as a freebie and started it without any expectations or reading any reviews. Overall, I was pleased. More of a slow burn romance but the writing was good and I enjoyed the story line. I'll eventually get around to reading more in this series.

    12. Kept me on my toesDani is a strong women that lost her way and is trying to find it again. She gets a job at EDGE but wants more. She wants to work as an operative. Jake is a Navy Seal who was injured in his last deployment. His commanding officer sent him to EDGE for 2 weeks to see if it was a good fit for him. He finds Dani intriguing and wants to know more. Dani past has come back to get her. They kidnap her best friend and neighbor. She has to find the men she knows that are behind it all.

    13. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a very fast paced book full of suspense, intrigue and action with some romance too. Dani, the heroine is a woman who can take care of herself and has had to in her past and as a result finds it hard to trust people. The scenes with the special operations and Navy Seals are well done. Jake a Navy Seal finds his way into Dani's heart and I hope we see more of them in the next book in this series. I look forward to more books from this author.

    14. I found myself intrigued by the EDGE itself. Wanted to know more about how it came to be. Before starting this one I thought the first couple might have been the guy that runs it, so I was a bit surprised it ends up being a couple of new comers.Dani was interesting, she hid so much, was so distrustful. Granted she had reason to, yet she was all up in arms when she wanted to help but they wouldn't let her because they couldn't trust her, which caused her to go out on her own.I'm was on the fence [...]

    15. While this book had a studly SEAL, there were plenty of other aspects that kept it interesting. Most of the story took place in Canada. Reflecting on this, I think I’ve read very few, if any, books set in Canada. That’s a surprise, and it was a nice change. Plus, the heroine was tough and the bad guys were so very bad. The romance was good but not plentiful. I read the ebook, which was free. I look forward to more in the series. 4/5

    16. 3.5 I was surprised at how well I liked this book! The plot moved at a good pace and really kept me turning the pages. I liked the characters and thought the author did a nice job making them complex. I would definitely like to read more books in this series to find out what happens with other characters.

    17. I liked this book quite a bit. I wasn't sure what to think when I went into it, but the very first chapter immediately captures your attention and really introduces you to who Jake is. It's actually quite well done. The suspense is also excellent. While the Russian mafia and human trafficking stories are quite common in this genre, I thought this one had a unique take on it re: Dani's background and relationship to the main villain.I also thought Dani was an excellent heroine. This isn't just a [...]

    18. I LOVE this series. I actually stumbled into it completely by accident and fell in love with each of the characters. I was so excited to find that it boasts a BOATLOAD of Canadian content, locations and people! It made everything that much more real and relatable since I've lived in most of the cities named, or at least been to them. I have fallen in love with the heroes but more so the heroines. So often the women in these novels can be wimpy, self deprecating or co-dependant. Not so in this se [...]

    19. Full of Angst and Adventure! With every page I read in this book, I couldn't wsit to finf out what happened next. I love how, even though each character has a heavy past - especially Dani, the story is fast-paced. I liked the cast in this book and the story line was well written. Looking forward to reading book 2.

    20. Edge of ControlThis is the first book that I've read by Ms. Loye & I'm hooked! I really enjoyed the action and the world building. The characters of the main couple were well developed & seemed believable. Lay that over the high stakes of the plot & you have a winning combination. 👍👍

    21. Not Edgy EnoughThis book is too predictable and bland. The characters are one dimensional and there is no humor or true suspense. The romance was lackluster. It seemed like the author was following some kind of "writing for dummies" formula. So glad I got it for free.

    22. Excellent readI loved this book, it was never boring and it never dragged. I recommend this as a great read. This was first book of hers that I have read and I'll be reading more from her.

    23. I borrowed this one on my kindle unlimited , I liked it , Dani was edgy & resourceful & Jake tough & sweet. it had a good story line that kept me turning pages. Looking forward to the next in the series

    24. ActionGood book to read. It has a lot of action that require team work and skills. Keep up the good work.

    25. GreatThis is going to be a great series to read if the rest of the stories are like this one. Full of action, suspense and mystery

    26. Great bookI love the storyline and the hero. Wanted action and it was delivered. I will look for more by this author.
