    1. I work in the retirement industry I conduct seminars and one-on-ones encouraging participants to sign up for their company-sponsored retirement plan so financially they can have the retirement they hope for. As such, I like to read books about retirement planning and this one caught my eye. Most of us hope that we save enough for our retirements and we don't think about what we are going to actually do in retirement (this is something I discuss sometimes in the one-on-ones) and how our retiremen [...]

    2. DNF- I read 26% of this book and couldn't continue. The book wasn't what I expected it to be. It focused more on the retirement of men and I assumed by the title the focus would be on both sexes. The author does include some interviews from the wives of the men she interviewed, but I never got that far into the book. I lost interest very early on in the book. My attention kept drifting and I kept putting the book aside; with the intention to come back to read it, but every time I came back to re [...]

    3. I don't how helpful this will be. I bought it to give to my 57 year old husband, but I can't see him actually getting anything beneficial from reading it. Perhaps it will make more sense to him, as he is the one who has to make the big transition. I found that it didn't really have any important insights that he could use.

    4. Not at all what I expected. Instead of the regular focus on money, this book focused on the emotional aspects of retirement. Although centred around men, I strongly suspect that the same types of concerns would affect single, childless, women who are ending their careers.

    5. Did not read the synopsis closely enough. It's all about men. Helpful for m husbands situation. If he reads it.

    6. This is really a collection of answers to a survey given to men about retirement, put in book form. It has some interesting tidbits.
