    2. In celebration of Earth Day today, I wanted to share with you some great books from Animal Planet about some of the animals that inhabit our earth. Animal Planet immerses viewers into the lives of animals, through TV and online platforms. They are the go-to resource for kids to learn about their favorite animals.I loved these kinds of books as a kid. I still love walking through zoos and learning about animals. There are so many fascinating characteristics to learn about each animal and Animal P [...]

    3. First, are you kidding me with those adorable faces of the polar bear and sea lion!!! I cannot stop looking that them. What an amazing book cover. That is only the outside, what is inside is even more amazing! Animal Bites is a fun way to title this book, as my son pointed out, because this book provides us bites of information. I adored the fact that there is a key in the front cover as how to use the book. This allows the reader to easily find areas of interest and go directly to that spot to [...]

    4. I love the direction Animal Planet is heading in with this series. Most pictures are almost mind-bogglingly gorgeous, with the animals looking like they could walk right off the pages and into the reader’s room. The layout of the book is great, with each section flowing easily into the next. The infographics are simple, and the “bite-sized” facts are things that young readers can easily understand. My six-year-old loved the cuddle/snuggle/pet worthy yes or no blocks, though on at least one [...]

    5. Beautiful and colorful pictures. Very educational. I absolutely love the photo of the husky on the How to Use this book page. Then, I was happy to see more huskies later on in the book. We have 2 huskies and I can tell you when they go through blowing of the fur there is hair everywhere!! My older son wants to go see the Iditarod Great Sled Race. It is going to be his graduation present. My favorite was polar bear, emperor penguins, arctic wolves, arctic foxes, I know I could not survive in the S [...]

    6. This book is exactly as the series says, Animal Bites. There are so many facts in this book that something is going to draw in any reader. This book describes many aspects of life in both the Arctic and Antarctic. It talks about habitats, adaptations, family life, humans and their impact and more. The photos in this book are amazing. They are so close you feel like you can touch the animals. The special sections on the side that include cool animal facts, simple infographics, and illustrated map [...]

    7. Here's a kid-friendly look at life in the polar habitat that is beautifully illustrated with photographs and packed full of interesting facts and accessible information. The book offers up-close looks at various polar animals both wild and domestic ranging from polar bears, snowy owls, and narwhals to the Siberian husky and reindeer. The animal sections are interspersed with thematic units with specific tabs such as Where They Live, How They Live, Vista (showing animals in their environment), Bi [...]

    8. Another fantastic addition to the Animal Planet books! This one certainly does not disappoint. The layout of these books is great for kids of all ages. There are multiple little snippets about individual animals on each page which helps keep the kids engaged. I think what I love most about this book is the "just like me" sections. Kids are able to see similarities between themselves and the animals, such as size, types of playing, and ways to deal with cold temperatures.Polar Animals is a perfec [...]

    9. I think it's a 5 star book in that it provides a wonderful venue to learn from is put together really well, has vibrant bright interesting pictures, offers little snippets of real information .just enough for the young learner (& older learner too!) to take in & absorb. The bright pictures entice you to pick it up again & go thru it again! Animal Planet has done a good job with this series!I did win this book in a giveaway program in return for a fair & honest review

    10. I loved that this book had huge color pictures of Arctic and Antarctic animals, including inside the front and back cover. There were two-page spreads throughout that focused on individual animals, and those were the best pages in the book. The other pages which addressed random facts felt too busy and chaotic. I've read a lot of books designed for kids that have tons of facts on the same page and have seen it done well; it wasn't here.

    11. Full review with teaching tools: unleashingreaders/?p=9733Like National Geographic nonfiction books for kids, Animal Planet’s books have some of the most stunning photographs of animals that I’ve ever seen. They take the reader to the animals’ home and shows the reader the ins and outs of the animal and how and where they live.

    12. Once again, Animal Planet does an outstanding job! This book is great for children and adults alike. The Cuddleworthy blocks are an excellent way to remind us to stay away from certain animals that may look approachable, but are not!

    13. Without a doubt this book deserves 5 stars - its a lovely book, bright, colourful, full of facts and the photography is simply stunning. Definitely one to be purchased to keep for young ones (and older ones like me) to go back too - ideal reference guide and introduction to Polar species.
