    1. I thought the book would be perfect for my interests, since it dealt with developing the right mental attributes to succeed in the iron game, but it was way too simplistic for my liking. Some good advice, but most of it was common sense and mostly illustrated by purely imaginative examples (i.e. no empirical evidence).

    2. Solid book for anyone into the Iron Game. 60 short essays on basic psychological concepts (visualization, self-fulfilling prophecy, feedback loops, etc), all written in the context of powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, or bodybuilding. Nice book to keep on the kindle and read a chapter on the way to the gym

    3. Great book that anyone interested in fitness or strength training should read. Covers psychological roadblocks to your success that you could possibly be facing and provides you with strategies for overcoming any issues. Succinct chapters are also great because you can take a new lesson or two each day and quickly read through them and then apply them.

    4. The 4-star average is ostensibly due to the smaller font, which is a common complaint on AMZN as well. This is a fabulous book, covering a wide variety of topics and stories related to the mental aspect of the iron game. I literally dog-eared half the pages.
