    1. A very interesting story about Nellie, a young woman raised in a foster home by loving foster parents who taught her about the love of God and led her to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. She has strong convictions that are tested on her new job by her new boss and others. Nicholas is a womanizer and spends too much of his free time in the saloons of Hays, Kansas. Nellie wants to stay away from him to protect her reputation, but that doesn’t seem to be working out very well. As events unfold [...]

    2. Drawn From Darkness, written by Barbara Goss, is the first book I've read by this author, but hopefully not my last. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this read. My favorite character in this story was Nicholas. He was the typical bad buy that did everything every parent wishes their daughter would never get involved with. He partied, drank in excess, and had unsavory encounters with loose womenbut he was never raised to really know what a relationship with the Lord could be like. He [...]

    3. Intriguing storyI admit to having my doubts about this book after reading the summary. I wasn't worried about the book being good mind you, I was worried about the characters already, before even reading it. ;) I was concerned for Nellie, wondering whether Nick's intentions were true and honorable or not. Anyway, I won't give away the ending! This was an interesting story with enjoyable, well developed characters. Another winner for Barbara Goss!

    4. Drawn from Darkness is another great entry into the Christian romance genre! Nellie is a hardworking young woman, eager to be independent and make her loving foster family proud. She begins work as a maid at the local hotel with the owner's son Nicholas as her manager. Nellie is a devout Christian and doesn't believe that a man and woman should be unequally yoked, but is dismayed to find she's attracted to Nicholas.Nicholas has been a womanizer for years, drinking and carousing at the local salo [...]

    5. Nellie is a devout Christian and fights her attraction for her boss Nicholas, who drinks heavily and associates with women of ill repute. She refuses to be friends with him because "we are judged by the company that we keep". When Nicholas realizes that he is falling for her, he will do anything to win her love. There will be plenty of obstacles along the way, with many outside forces working against them. Will they find happiness? Listen and find out!Drawn From Darkness is Book 4 in the Hearts [...]

    6. The more I read or listen to this series, the more I'm loving the stories. Each one is different in its telling, the common factors are the town, the religious element and the love building between two people.Yet, to me it seems as if each is told from the heart and this is what I love.In this particular one we have Nellie and Nicholas falling in love, Nicholas' very jealous and crazy step brother, loving parents and step parents and very supportive friends. Then we have trust and a bit of a lack [...]

    7. Great book I really liked reading this book it is a great story of love with lots of twists and turns I am looking forward to the next book in the series

    8. Drawn From Darkness (Hearts of Hays Book 4) by Barbara GossI was given a free copy of Drawn from Darkness in exchange for a true review! This was such a different book from what I usually read! Barbara offered it to me because she knew I loved Christian Romance! This book gives it all: good and evil, innocence and depravity, love and hatred! Gorgeous Christian Penelope (Nellie) is attracted to a womanizing, drinking, sinner! She does her best to stay far away from him and his sinful ways, but he [...]

    9. From Darkness to LightThank you for this heartwarming story about how God's Word transforming a sinner into a believer. There is evil in the world, but God has overcome and won us victory. Your story was filled with faith, hope and love. I look forward to reading more of your work.

    10. This is an awesome story. It is NOT the usual Christian romance of someone not liking the other, or great problems that cannot be overcome. It is a story of kindness, compassion, faith, and most of all, truth. In many stories often problems are not divulged, but in this story, everything is placed out in the open. I liked that. I liked the honesty and faithfulness. An excellent read.

    11. Drawn From DarknessGood story. Didn't flow quite as well as previous episodes. But still entertaining. Was a little more predictable but possibly that is because I have gotten to know the characters and can feel where they are heading
