    1. A Scot like You by Kam McKellar doesn't disappoint. Its refreshing to read a novella with no major problems causing rifts between our lover's. The three Scotsmen, Ian,and Devon ex military and Jamie the youngest still in the military, are restoring the MacKellar Castle making it into a bed and breakfast. Fran and Hamish are housekeeper nd groundsman for the Castle. Lucy, Ian's wife invited her cousin Kate for a visit. Kate skinny dips in the loch and runs into Devon. Dev is tongue tied seeing a [...]

    2. This review was originally posted on my blog, Ramblings of a Daydreamer. You can find it, and many more reviews at the blog.I loved Mad About Plaid, the first in the Balmorie novella series, but I loved A Scot Like You even more. There was just something about Kate and Dev, separately and together, that really got to me.loved Kate’s spunk and her fiery personality. I liked that she wasn’t easily embarrassed, especially since she got herself into some situations that would have made me want t [...]

    3. In this story, we are once again back in the beautiful Balmorie, and meet some of the characters we knew in the first book. However, this story is focused in Kate and Devin’s romance. I especially liked that this story involved two wounded characters that were just searching for a way to heal and instead they found each other. As the first book was, the plot was a little predictable, but very funny and witty, which mad the story enjoyable and fun. I also appreciated that the author included a [...]

    4. Kam McKellar's Mad about Plaid, A Scot for You, and The Trouble with Kilts are light romance novellas. Mad About Plaid Each are quick easy reads--just the right thing for the holidays. Each centers around a cousin from a set of three, who visit a castle and an estate turned into a resort. New A Scot Like YouEach falls in love with one of the MacLaren brothers. All are sexy, young, and beautiful and handsome. The countryside is breathtaking and the innkeepers are a set of friendly down-to-earth m [...]

    5. This is the second in "The MacLarens of Balmorie" series, but my first introduction to the MacLarens/Walkers - I didn't feel like I was missing that much by having skipped the first book, but the couple from the first book do make appearances here, so if that bothers you, then read "Mad About Plaid" firstLikedPuppies and food talkMeddling matchmakersDescriptions of Scotland (brief/light, but sufficient to validate its place on my "want to visit list"!)Quick read (view spoiler)[ quick falling in [...]

    6. ‘A Scot Like You’ by Kam McKellar is the second book in this series of Scottish romances. Having read the first book I knew to expect a thoroughly enjoyable romantic adventure with a rugged Scotsman – I wasn’t let down by McKellar, who writes the epitome of Scottish romance with this modern contemporary series. Visiting Balmorie Guest House is Kate, who finds herself in some tricky situations from the onset of the book; Devin, to his amusement, is the witness to the first unusual situati [...]

    7. I loved the first book in the series, but this one was even better. I loved the chemistry between Kate and Dev and how flawed they were that the conflict introduced and the resolution made sense. My only gripe (and the reason for the 4-star rating) was that I wish the story was longer. It could have made for a more enjoyable read as the characters are put into different scenarios; it would have made the resolution even more fulfilling. Nevertheless, I'll definitely be reading the next books in t [...]

    8. This was the second novella in the series, and I personally much preferred it over the first. I liked these two characters better and also liked how Dev was so forthright and direct with his feelings, then throw in a retired service dog with PTSD and some shenanigans by a shamelessly manipulative old family retainer, who considers himself an expert matchmaker. I found it to be a very cute light romance that filled in an evening very pleasantly.

    9. This is the second in the Specatcular Balmorie series and I would also give this one 8 stars if they went up that high. My only complaint is I would rather see it as a full-length novel. As longer stories, the series would have gone right to the top of the New York Times list, I'm sure.

    10. Book two in a wonderful series! these books are so fun! they arent that long, they give you a complete fun story, the scenery is fabulous and the whole thing makes me want to go to Scotland! Love this series!!

    11. This was a sweet, romantic read that made you believe in good men who treat their women right books! A book that made you believe in good old fashioned love again! There is never enough of those kinds of books around lately.

    12. OMG! Love this book! Read it in one sitting. There are some hilarious scenes in this story. Skinny dipping and getting caught buck naked in a barn!!! I'm grabbing more from this author!

    13. Just read the excerpt: not sure why the McLaren brothers all need to be hooked up with the Walker family. Not very inspired.

    14. A fun read. The ending comes to soon, even knowing the end of the story in cockles a love affair worth reading it happens too soon.

    15. A Scot like youdev is getting over the war. Sara is getting over a betrayal. two different dogs bring them together. finally tired of fight it they give love a try
