    1. In the Prophecy, we explore a not too distant future of the United States after a second civil war. The Nation takes over, and their philosophy is "everyone does their fair share". But is every single job out there equal? Everyone has the same allotment of food, clothing, money, etc. What can happen, though, when those ideals start to be questioned?I LOVED this book. I have loved every single book I have read by Kelly, and I'm sure that will not change. We follow Lucia through her transition fro [...]

    2. I received this book free through First Reads. This dystopian novel is fast paced, exciting, and mind bending. Different from any other book I have read, this novel shows the heart of human greed, want for control, and love. Through the eyes of a once naïve Nation citizen, you follow Lucia through her incredible journey to find truth even if it means leaving everything she has ever known behind. As her father says, “knowledge is power.” What people will do to hide the truth can be horrify [...]

    3. An awesome first effort from Jen Kelly. Great story which holds your attention. Character development has you "riding along" with Lucia's feelings and observations. This one is fast moving. No dilly dallying around. You will not be bored and will be turning pages to see what happens next to Lucia. Unexpected plot twists, emotional drama and good old action scenes will have you eager for more. Not to mention the semi-cliff hanger at the end . . . Oh. I said I wouldn't mention it. Sorry. READ IT!! [...]
