    1. I am on such a MASSIVE Highlander jag right now thanks to Outlander - that show has totally rekindled my love for this genre but it's been difficult to find authors that work for me but, at last, I think in Amy Jarecki, I have found a winner. This is the second book of hers I have read and I've very much enjoyed both of them.A Highland Knight's Desire has just about everything you could possibly want in a historical romance - a big burly protective as hell hero, a feisty kickass heroine, kidnap, [...]

    2. A real page turner! Amy Jarecki has done it again with A Highland Knight’s Desire, her second book in the Highland Dynasty Series! I loved her two main characters Sir Duncan Campbell and Lady Meg, beautiful chemistry between the two. Their mutual attraction sends sparks flaring all over the place, to create a sizzling passion. But their love is fragile, because of all the twists and turns in their wild Scottish adventure. What happens when a feisty and impulsive heroine is saved by a handsome [...]

    3. I really enjoyed this book - almost as much as the first book A Knight in Highland Armor. This book starts about 15 years after the first book and features Duncan, Colin's son from that book.Duncan has grown and become a knight and has just taken over as leader of the Highland Enforcers. A group his father started to keep order in the Highlands.Duncan meets Meg when he is hired by her brother to recuse her after she is kidnapped.I really liked both of these characters. And Ms Jarecki writes a gre [...]

    4. 3.5 stars Basically, I liked it. Action packed for a romance. Characters were likable and although the H was formerly a rake, (one of my emotional triggers) it didn't bother as much as it normally would have. What bothered me was how Percy's character was not as developed as he could have been for an antagonist. Issac on the other hand was very well developed (the other antagonist). Why concentrate on one and not the other?I also felt the whole claw hand thing with the heroine was overplayed and [...]

    5. DNF @ 47%*spoilers*I just lost interest. Two things that dimmed my enjoyment though:1. Duncan is supposed to be this big bad alpha warrior type hero but at times he came across as kinda childish. I don't know if that was supposed to be intentional or not since he is only 23 years old but he would bicker with his younger brother like how younger boys do, it was just weird to see him acting like that since it was at odds with his "alpha-ness." Oh, and how can I forget how he still gets lectured by [...]

    6. I happen to be a fan of Amy's and this does not disappoint. I love this book. Starts out with a bang, takes on a roller coaster of a ride. The action is spot on, story line is great, Characters are fun. You will not want to put it down. The lengths they have to go through and emotionally put themselves through, makes this a good read.Duncan and Meg were meant for each other. even if they both deny it. As far as I am concerned this is a must read book. You do not need to read book one to know wha [...]

    7. **This review contains spoilers!**I'll be clear and say from the start that I very much enjoyed this novel. It kept me engrossed and eager for more. That being said, I do have some criticisms.A Highland Knight's Desire is a page-turner throughout the first 1/3, but I found it dragging around the middle when Duncan leaves on his next mission for the king. Duncan spends far too much time either injured or recovering from injuries, and while I mostly enjoyed it, I found that plot point became overd [...]

    8. 4 stars / 2 flames. This was another great historical romance loosely based on the lives of real historical figures. We first met our hero, Duncan, in Knight in Highland Armor as the son of Colin Campbell, first Lord of Glenorchy (also known as the Black Knight of Rome for his time fighting during the Crusades). Colin and his third wife, Margaret Robinson, were the love interests in the first book. Now Duncan is all grown up and quite the ladies man himself. He has taken over carrying out the ki [...]

    9. Another excellent book!I really enjoyed this book - almost as much as the first book A Knight in Highland Armor. This book starts about 15 years after the first book and features Duncan, Colin's son from that book. Duncan has grown and become a knight and has just taken over as leader of the Highland Enforcers. 10. This story between Duncan and Meg is fraught with danger, deception, heartache, treachery and so much more. Could not wait to see what happened next.Duncan is the son of the legendary Black Colin, and leads the kings Highland Knights. But a mission to save Meg, the sister of the Earl of Angus, changes his life.Meg had never seen a man so large and handsome. But with her deformity she knew she was not good enough for him and was destined for the nunnery. She can't help how she feels though and wi [...]

    11. In 1478, the Navy Seal equivalent in Highland Warriors was dispatched to Northumberland to rescue a kidnapped Lowland lass at the behest of her brother.Lady Meg, always self-conscious about her misshapen hand, plans to enter the nunnery, but her plans are thwarted when she’s spirited away from the abbey by an English lord.Duncan Campbell, heir apparent to his clan, leads the daring rescue and succeeds in grabbing the target, though he is injured during their escape.Sparks fly between these two [...]

    12. I'm not generally one to seek out historical romance novels, but this one caught my attention when it went through (and won a contract with) the Kindle Scout program. This story drew me in right from the beginning with the dramatic kidnapping of feisty Meg. She is a very well-written main character, who really tugged at my heartstrings. Having been born with a hand that isn't fully formed, which she has dubbed 'the claw,' Meg has convinced herself that she is deformed and unlovable. It will be u [...]

    13. Oh so much fun! I'm so sorry it's over. Now I'm left waiting for the next in the series. I hope Amy Jarecki is hard at work on that. A wonderful story about Lady Meg and the knight who rode to her rescue, Duncan - with his long sword, burly muscles, and plaids. They are quite the team from the moment they set eyes on each other - and they need to be as treachery hounds them from one page to the next. I love that they are both smart and sure of themselves. Lady Meg and Duncan are not alone on the [...]

    14. I am a huge fan of Amy’s and this book doesn't disappoint! Another hit! Loved the chemistry between the hero and heroine! There is action, intrigue, passion, conspiracy! You can never go wrong with one of her books! What are you waiting for, get your copy, this book will not disappoint!

    15. ExcellentLove that this story overcomes disabilities and prejudices. The characters are well developed and the plot is awesome. Thank you.

    16. A Campbell and a DouglasDuncan was first born son of the Black Knight of Rome, his mother died at his birth, but Lady Margaret his father's next wife, raised him as hers. As he took over more of his father's duties he rescued Lady Meg Douglas. Sparkles flew between them and they finally gave into their passion. Even though she had a slight birth defect and thought she was unmarriagble, Duncan loved her regardless.

    17. Great bookI really enjoyed this book. This is starting out to be a wonderful series. This book is filled with likable characters, excitement, and emotion. I know some reviews want to not pick at some words or other items they believe were not accurate for the time, but overall an outstanding story. Amy Jarecki is a talented author and I look forward to reading more of this series and her other books.

    18. A good historical romance. I find this genre usually has a bit more to the plot than regular romance. This one shows a bit of the brutality of the medieval period, and the plight of women whose choices were marriage or the nunnery. Even so, it shows the Lady Meg as a woman willing to fight for what she wants. This romance is sure to please those who enjoy this genre.

    19. Meg intends to become a nun. But while waiting to see the Abbot, she is abducted by Northumberland, who wants vengeance for wrongs that he feels were done to him by her deceased father. Duncan is hired by Meg's brother to rescue her and bring her home unharmed. The plot is full of intrigue and romance. Good story.

    20. Scotts & Politics Outside of dress this novel did not feel like it was the fifteenth century. The character development is interesting & furthered the intriguing political elements of the plot. I appreciate how much Lady Meg changes.

    21. Great story!I am enjoying every minute of this well written story! The storyline is a sweeping tale! The characters are likeable and the HEA is epic!

    22. Easy read.Nice story but not a lot of excitement. Character development was good. The interaction between Meg and Duncan was ok but not spectacular.

    23. I was so happy to pick up a copy of A Highland Knight’s Desire by Amy Jarecki. I am a tried and true romance reader at heart, and historical romances, in particular, are one of my guilty pleasures. There’s something to be said for a good, solid formulaic romance at the end of the day. Though a lot of readers disdain this type of book—the kind with swooning lasses, arrogant men, and an epilogue entirely devoted to either a marriage, children or both, I’m not one to turn up my nose at a su [...]

    24. As an historical romance lover, it was an easy decision to nominate Amy Jarecki's A Highland Knight's Desire in the Kindle Scout program. Having now read the book, I now rate my decision as a wise one! If you read this book, you will find everything you might want in a good book - history, romance, adventure and intrigue! This book had me engrossed from the first chapter when, in 1478, Lady Meg is kidnapped as part of the ongoing feud between the Douglas family and the Earl of Northumberland. Plo [...]

    25. I first discovered this book on Kindle Scout and just from the excerpt I read I was hooked. The authors book was selected and so she already had her first small victory before her book was ever published. The story begins with the evil Lord Percy out for vengeance against the Earl of Angus. Meg Douglas the youngest of the earl's sister and the favorite is abducted and held with the intent of forcing the earl to break the treaty and cross the border and bring the nations into a war. He wants his [...]

    26. Not for one moment does Ms. Jarecki’s tale disappoint. Even though I listened to book three before I read this one, it didn’t detract from the glorious adventure that awaited me.There are a couple of notable ‘likes’ to this book. I loved the way she takes me to the end of a chapter, dangling me with only her words over a precipice of sorts. I internally groan, every sense alerted, then she shifts me to a new scene with a different set of characters also struggling and fighting demons in [...]
