    2. Not your typical step-by-step painting guide, The Art of Botanical Painting is intended for those with at least some painting experience. The brief overview of painting materials and techniques will not be enough for those without a basic understanding of the process. That setback aside, the anatomical detail is stunning. Even the "in progress" shots could pass as finished works of art. Worth a look even if you aren't interested in learning more about how to paint and draw plants.
