    1. I struggled with liking Juliet. Oh, she's beautiful and appears to be sweet as pie but I don't know. Her goal was to marry Amiable, by any means necessary it seemed, and she accomplished that goal with deception and lying by omission. I might have been able to forgive her if she'd come clean about everything before she married Amiable. But seeing as how one major truth didn't come out until after, it was hard for me to feel sorry for her. Now, her distress over her supposed marriage by proxy to S [...]

    2. Only a marriage will doI received a free copy of this book from the author on Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. What a great story. From the thrilling start to the unbelievable ending! Such adventure, romance and suspense. I truly enjoyed this book. The characters were really well written and developed. Juliet and Amiable make a wonderful couple. St. Cyr was a villain from beginning to end.I would suggest this book to friends & family. It is very entertaining and enjoyable.

    3. The absolute worstThe only reason I gave this a one star rating is because it is the lowest star. It deserved a no star to me. I read historical romance for reasons other than, mystery, murder or mayhem. It was so much meanness in this story and it was all over the place. Hated It.

    4. So romanticQuestions. did they have a sonDid they go to his father's and tell the name if it's a boyWhat happened to the house spy and, St Cyr. I hate w he little details are left off.

    5. Awesome Read This was an awesome book. I really can't wait for the next one. Definitely a must read. Get your copies today.

    6. Wonderful readMy goodness this book has it all, kidnapping, torture, lust, humor, love and supportive families. Needless to say, Amiable and Juliet have a hard time with the love they feel for each other. Their story is somewhat unique. Follow their exploits thru this troubling time. A extremely enjoyable read. I highly recommend.

    7. *I got this via Netgalley for an honest review* If you read a book and cannot even remember a single character or a name after a week, I think that says a lot. “Only Marriage will do” by Jenna Jaxon was this kind of book. It’s the 2nd book in the “House of Pleasure” series and it was the most predictable piece I’ve read in a very long time. Lady Juliet Ferrers gets rescued by Captain Amiable Dawson because she makes him her betrothed in front of her maybe husband St. Cyr. He maybe go [...]

    8. ONLY MARRIAGE WILL DO by Jenna Jaxon is an interesting Georgian Historical Romance set in 1761 England. #1 in the "House of Pleasure" series, but can be read as a stand along. See, "Only Scandal Will Do". I would suggest Book 1 in this series first, however, it is not necessary to enjoy "Only Marriage Will Do".The House of Pleasure is a brothel house, which is featured in Book 1 and gives the reader insight into the scandalously meeting of Juliet's brother, Duncan and his wife, Katarina. The Fer [...]

    9. This is book 2 in the House of Pleasure series.Lady Juliet Ferrers can't believe that Phillipe St. Cyr is claiming to be her husband. Luckily a stranger comes to her rescue. He shows up at her door and she claims him as her fiance. Juliet knows that she must leave town to get away from Phillipe, even it it means traveling on her own.Captain Amiable Dawson, unwittingly came to the rescue of Juliet. Being the gentleman that he is, he is unable to let her travel on her own. Trying to resist their m [...]

    10. I received a free copy of this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.Juliet finds herself in a tangle when St.Cyr informs her they were married through proxy. She once liked him, but met his true self and luckily their contract was broken. But St.Cyr fights it is valid since the cancellation didn't reach him before the wedding. To fight it, she states she is married to Amiable. He plays along to help her and attempts to keep his distance. She makes that difficult. This was a truly go [...]

    11. Just like in Jenna Jaxon’s strong and sexy debut, Only Scandal Will Do, I love the hero. But in this, the second book in her House of Pleasure series, I feel Lady Juliet Ferrers–similar to the Ferrars family name in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility– is immature and conniving. But she is also an unmarried woman in Georgian England–1761–and is at risk for poverty and vulnerability so I can forgive her some of her machinations to seduce and ensnare the very kindhearted and honorable [...]

    12. There are soooo many things wrong with this book and I had to struggle just to finish it. Totally predictable with characters who are so flat you could write upon them. I was shocked to learn Jenna Jaxon had written many other books. Her writing style is very one dimensional and her characters do not show very much growth. This particular story just plodded along from one disaster to another. No I will not be reading more from this author.I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review. [...]

    13. Amiable Dawson has returned to England after being a soldier and is attempting to find his beloved Katarina. When he goes to her house, he discovers another woman arguing with a man that insisted that he was her husband. Amiable steps in to help and they fall in love in the end.I had a hard time with this nove. I thought that the description was off. The novel revolved around the psycho guy that wanted Juliet. I just couldn't complete it due to crazy man. I received this novel as an ARC from Net [...]

    14. Jenna Jaxon has crafted another incredibly enjoyable historical romance which tells the story of Juliet and Amiable. Their story is filled with intrigue and a complex romance. Our hero is a dashing gentleman Captain Amiable Dawson who saves our heroine Juliet from a dangerous situation. Amiable is by nature a protector and his protective instincts come out when he feels Juliet needs his protection. The characters were charming with a plot that was a little predictable. You will enjoy this book i [...]

    15. This book just never really caught on for me. I had to read the first chapter twice just to make all the names thrown at you so quickly make sense. Maybe it's because it's book 2 and I hadn't read the first (which I assume deals with Juliet's brother), but I just really didn't care for this book and thought Aim totally overreacts when he learns Juliet had lied/deceived him. However, kudos that he kept trying to keep her safe from the odious Frenchman.

    16. Charming!I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book tells the story of Juliet and Amiable, who will live a relationship, filled with intrigue and romance, but complex. I found it a little predictable! The plot was fine and the characters charming.

    17. I liked this book. I didn't love it, but I liked it. It had a pretty good story and I did like the characters. The problem that I had was that it took me a long time to read and to stay interested.
