    1. Volume 5 of 7 about Shoko, a deaf girl bullied in elementary school by Shoya and others. By the time we are in high school Shoko is trying to make amends. This volume moves pretty slowly to a cliffhanger ending that it feels like it has been building toward since last volume. I would like to have a bit more of an inside view of Shoko. Instead we get this possible redemption story of Shoko. There's Tomohiro's eccentric movie to make, too, which is a fantasy removed from the heavy struggle of the [...]

    2. It absolutely amazes me how fucking profound and beautifully heartwarming this manga is. It's unforgivably gripping and ripe with the emotional and psychological consequences of bullying (both giving and receiving), and how drastically it can affect you later in life. This manga has made me laugh, made me cry, made me so fucking angry, and also has opened up my mind and my heart to a whole new understanding of living with disability and how it can impact the people around you in many, many differ [...]

    5. actual rating - 3.5 starsI didn't particularly find the first half of this very engaging but once I got to the end it really kicked offe cliffhanger is a very cruel move!

    6. omg das Ende dieses Ende nein, dieser CLIFFHANGER! Ich kann nicht mehr! q_____q diese Manga Reihe macht mich echt fertig xx

    7. Volume Five of A Silent Voice started out slowly, but really picked up steam near the end. Some of the stuff about the movie plot and preparing for it were kinda boring, but the issues and friction they set up was the crux of the volume's narrative. To say the least, the past comes back to haunt everyone, and in the most vindictive way possible. One classmate decides to "expose" Shoya's past as a bully, either out of caprice or to make themselves look better, I don't know. But the fallout is imme [...]

    8. Ok so a friendly piece of advice for all future readers of A silent voice: really, please, make sure you have book 6 at hand because if you, like me, are left with the ending of book 5 and do not yet have book 6, you will live a terrible life. Like I do right now. I need book 6. Please.

    9. Omg…O.OOMG!!!LO SAPEVO! Losapevo losapevo lo sapevo!!!!O.oSinceramente io ho odiato un po’ tutti, nessuno escluso!*corre a leggere il volume successivo*

    10. Entering into the 5th volume it becomes apparent that the tone of this manga is changing and the direction they are heading was unexpected. I loved that huge surprise and I believe that is why A Silent Voice is one of best manga series I have discovered in terms of character development and narrative. Its a simple plot and yet I have no clue where the story is heading and I am in it for the ride. I do not want to write much about the plot for this volume because it gives away the mind-blowing en [...]

    11. It's getting repetitive. I was about to give it 2 stars, but the ending kinda blew my mind. The author should give Shoko and Shoya equal time to tell their stories.

    12. Sebenarnya, pas nonton movienya agak bingung sama scene pas Nishimiya mau BD. Setelah baca manganya, baru paham kalau ternyata dia sendiri nggak suka sama dirinya dan menyalahkan dirinya karena perubahan persahabatan teman-temannya.Btw, emang guru SDnya Shoya itu menyebalkan. Kurang pantas sih klo seorang guru malah ikut "membully" muridnya (¬_¬).

    13. *This review is for the series as a whole with 4.5 out of 5 stars*It's been quite a long time since I indulge myself into reading manga even though I never stopped watching anime, haha. I guess it's time to catch up with my manga reading list eh?Koe no Katachi or is also known as A Silent Voice wasn't really in my list, but I've been seeing a lot of post about it in my Facebook feeds and there's a movie just shown. They said it's going to be a story that we could all of relate so I realized that [...]

    14. Geez, this volume was tough.I went to high school with ~people~ like this Kawai-san. While I never wished ill upon them, I thought about why they were like that. How they slept at night. How they are to me now that we're all adults and have severely different life experiences since then. No one ever apologized to me and I think in their heart of hearts, they believe they've done nothing wrong. I have since moved on but scars still exist. I'm glad that they're actually very far away from me now a [...]

    15. The emotional intelligence of this series continues to impress. The way the volume begins, with everyone kinda-sorta producing an amateur film, can be easily mistaken for a lull in the storytelling. But it's a facade, a setup for the house of cards that's about to come tumbling down, and now I'm craving the next book because the cliffhanger ending has me genuinely worried and excited.

    16. 4.5/5This book is starting to touch more upon Shoya's mental health and how he pushes others away. I think that the plot is growing and that things are going to fall into place more in the next volume. Also: that ending!
