Although this book is classified as a poetry/journal, it reads more like daily affirmations (which is good for someone who needs a good lifting up - actually we all need one).The only drawback is that it was a little redundant in periods, but it's been said that you have to continually encourage yourself (even if it's the same affirmation).     2. I won this book through a giveaway. It is written as a 25-day devotional. Each day has a word or phrase as a theme, a prayer, and most have a Bible verse from Psalms. It was a very inspirational read and I really enjoyed it, even though I read it straight through instead of doing it day by day. I highly recommend it for anyone who has struggled with depression, abuse, or feelings of worthlessness or hopelessness.

    3. The synopsis on the back cover described this collection of poems as a journal. It is even numbered by day so that the reader can read and meditate on something each day. Each day is prefaced with a scripture from the Bible. The poems, which appear to be free verse are supposed to coincide with the daily scripture.
