    1. Definitely one of my favorites of the series. I'm so happy that the author chose to inject some new characters and new story lines into the Henry Adams family. I was worried that some of the charm of the Blessings series was wearing off, but this is certainly a great comeback.

    2. This is the sixth book in the Blessings series, which follows the residents of Henry Adams, Kansas, a small town originally founded by freed slaves. I didn’t realize it was part of a series when I picked it up. And once I had it in my hands, I was reluctant to put it aside to go back to book one in the series, so I went ahead and read it. Jenkins gives several clues as to how these people came together, and some of the things that have happened in the past, so I felt I had a reasonably good un [...]

    3. Another Wonderful Trip to Henry AdamsMs. Bev has done it again! With all that's going on in today's world, it was nice to escape for a while to a place where folks look out for each other and only want the best for you. Thanks, Ms. Bev!In this book, both Trent and Amari both get to meet their birth moms ,with vastly different outcomes. I don't want to give anything away, but just know that one meeting left me happy and smiling from ear to ear, while the other had me in tears on the train (I was [...]

    4. Imagine a contemporary small, rural town filled with loving, caring people. Imagine a town with little, if any, unemployment. Imagine a town where everyone works together for the betterment of that town and its inhabitants. Now imagine this town was founded by Black Americans in the mid-1800s and that multiple generations of descendants of the founding families have continued to reside there and raise their families. This mythic town is the town of Henry Adams, Kansas and is the setting for the [...]

    5. I gotta say-I love the Henry Adams people and places in the Blessings novels. So much happens and while it's no one's sugar coated Candyland, it is a place I'd love to live. Never a dull moment.Thank you Beverly for creating a happy place where we can all go.And I'd be more than happy to put my hat in the ring for Librarian too.

    6. I read this book in one day. It was SSOOO good! The residents of Henry Adams are at it again. Love this series and can't wait to see what's coming up next in the series.

    7. What a story of celebration of life, love and family! I was totally submerged in the story, and couldn't get enough of this small town and the lively characters living there.Trent and Lily seems to have the perfect family. Yes, there are ups and downs as in any family unit, but they dealt with all that life gives with lots of love, acceptance, and support for each other. And so behaves the whole town, that seems to be founded on love, and family values. A town where everyone is taken care of, pro [...]

    8. This latest book in the Blessings series by Beverly Jenkins is the one I didn’t know I needed and the one that I maybe enjoyed the most. So much of these books focus on the newer residents of Henry Adams, Kansas and all the changes that are happening there, that I forget that there are still rich backstories to be told about some of the characters.Trent July is a descendant of one of the founding families of Henry Adams and he and his high school sweetheart are finally married and raising the [...]

    9. This is a heartwarming story of a woman- who after a painful divorce - used her acquired wealth to save a community. Other idealistically wonderful human relation topics are presented.Young Bobby, Kiki and the twins were compelled to move to Henry Adams, Kansas by the encouragement of a young woman who stayed with them for a short while. They had no idea what they were going to experience when they agreed to move there. What they encountered was far beyond their wildest dream! This was no ordina [...]

    10. Beverly Beverly Beverly, you have captured my heart and soul with For Your Love (Book 6 in the Blessings Series). Beverly takes us back to the fictional town of Henry Adams, Kansas (which it should be called Blessings or Hope, Kansas). Henry Adams is like coming home to your grandmothers homemade apple pie, just warm and sweet. This novel was an emotional read for me, love found between an adult man (Trent July) and his mother (Rita Babcock), whom he thought didn’t want him and a love that wil [...]

    11. I absolutely LOVED this new book in the series! Ms. Jenkins was able to intertwine several isues of forgiveness, abandoment, starting over with a past, how making an effort can change someone's life, etc and sprinkling it with humor. So many times I bust out laughing and everyone looked at me like what is she reading? Especially my younger daughter who is an avid reader like me. I caught her giggling too. I was so engrossed I didn't realize it. This has got to be my favorite so far in the series [...]

    14. So Many BlessingsMs Bev, Ms Bev. Always witty, always funny, always factual, always fantastic. Always hate for it to end. Glad Astrid is on her way to getting hers. Heartbroken for Amari. Wonderful surprise in Kiki, Bobby, and the twins. True word spoken, "But you've got swag." Yes I do, because I'm from Detroit, and it's in the water." Oh yeah! I so enjoyed this book.

    15. I anticipate going into Henry Adams. The world is always turning in Kansas. BJ never fails to give me the suspense, love and angst I look forward to. Finding your mother after never knowing her has joy and pain. I could not imagine. However I saw it as so appropriate for Mother's Day. Can't wait to get answers to many questions she left hanging. I love the Blessings Series.

    16. This is the sixth book of Beverly Jenkins' Blessings series. I have come to love her stories about the fictional town of Henry Adams, Kansas.
