    1. There are a couple of things that make Kendal Waller's stories so compelling. One, she writes about strong women. Women who can stand on their own without NEEDING a man to run their lives. Oh, they need a man, but, no more than the man needs them:-)Another thing she's not shy doing is throwing you a curve ball. Just when you are being pulled one way in the story and you're getting emotionally involved in a character, she flips the switch and leaves you thinking "What the hell just happened".The [...]

    2. Well here I go again, another review of one of Kendal's books, but that's ok, because I love the stories she writes. What is I love about them? First is her passion for her lifestyle. She lives and breathes the things she writes about, none more so than in this story. Someone wrote in their review that the main lead, Jesse, isn't rounded out enough, Oh but I disagree, because Jesse is Kendal, the same drive, the same will to succeed, the same independent streak that gets the job done no matter w [...]

    3. 4.5 Stars!!!What a fucking tear jerker! First off, I’m a big fan of poetry and I absolutely loved the poem in the beginning of the book. It was such a great way to start off. Jessica Mackenzie is the total farm girl. She goes off to college but knows that once she is done she will return home and help her father run the farm until he retires and she takes over. She has big plans, dreams and hopes for life once back on the farm. “I knew even before leaving to go away to school what I would st [...]

    5. *This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*This sadly for me was a case where the idea is sound but the execution just didn't work for me.The first half of the book moves rather slowly but none of the characters really develop and react the way they needed to for a story like this to work. A lot of the book relies on you connecting with the lead and she didn't give me anything to grab hold of and run with.I found the information about certain situations (such as th [...]

    6. ****INFORMATION ONLY NOT A REVIEW ****Jessica Mackenzie is determined to make a life for herself in a world most women would despise. A variable of obstacles make her choices something she questions but her love of the family, animals, and land force her to press on despite how much easier it would be to just sell and move on. Four men are constantly pulling her thoughts in different directions. Her father hard headed and suffering from early onset Alzheimer'sHer brother who has motives unknown A [...]
